Official XBA wager thread.

Well, you guys think that halo 2 will be a breeze? You think you'll pick it up like Halo 1, and breeze through the campaign mode, as if you've done it dozens of time before. Well, if you can, i bet there is someone who can do it faster. The point of this thread is,

who can be the fastest, most baddas*, covenant killer. YOU thtink you got the goods? Well, lets see how well you know your fellow XBA members. Who do you htink will be the first to finish the single player campaign....on LEGENDARY (name pending), or hardest mode.

Put money on it, ive checked with the XBA mods, and they are okay with this little gambling thread.

How many poeple are putting money on maximus? Spartan? Casper? All good contenders.

The betting will be on time, with a few extra Winnings to the XBA memeber who actually beats it first.

The pool starts at 5 hours to beat it. 2 standard deviation will be deternmined by the amount wagered by launch date.

So start the bets, I will get the ball rolling at 10 bux for 8 hours. Any takers?

;)

I take it you never seen casper play? :hail:

Id accept the challenge, but I think Id rather get a head start on the multiplayer.

Can we compete with a partner? I have a feeling I can beat it in 8 hours or less, I'm down. Sign me up for this thing :)

Hell no, it has to be solo.

So we are going for time? Or has it beat first? How do you know how long your overall time is?

Yeah, if it's for real money, there better be something (like in Ninja Gaiden) that tells you how long it took you to win, but I doubt that Bungie will put something like that in the game.

interesting, but i dont place bets. I never really timed myself in the first one, i liked to play around and have fun on the warthog levels. I did beat the easy in around 4 - 5 hours. Ran through the first 2 levels without even firing a single shot. Easy level was way to easy.

hmm, well i had an idea for keeping track of time but, it would involve an honor system, and if its for money then we cant have that. Me and spartan are tlaking about how to keep poeple honest n this one.

Interesting thread, though, I strongly doubt I will beat Halo 2 on Legendary in 5 hours...or 8 hours for that matter. Hell, even the Library on the first Halo takes a good hour just for running through the level!

I'm going to play Halo 2 on Legendary right out of the gate, but, I think it will take me two days to beat it...not hours. If it's anything like Halo 1's Legendary mode, it will take that long. But, I can assure you guys that I'll definately play Halo 2's Campaign straight...on Legendary...until I feel too tired to play :D

no thanks, Im going to enjoy the story/game ;)
Not playing online till I beat 1 player, cause I know some a$$ will ruin the end for me on LIVE

the first one wore me out. After assault or two betrayals, i actually had to go inside and stretch or something.

But i think its beatable within a day, if you stick to it. I beat the first ones legendary in a day. a day of non stop laying though. I heard this game might be much bigger, so i dont know. Like any bet, im just trying to make an educated guess.

I think im going to have to make it with contenders.

Im going to have to right down poeple to be betted on , and have poeple bet on those poeple. Imn down, i htink spartan would be too. I heard silver trace was going to do jump on live as soon as he got it.....

hmm, im going to organize this a little bit more so its user friendly. I dont know about incorpoating odds though....

Im gonna go write some pm's.

Well, either way, the first thing I'm doing before I even look at Multi-player is beat the Campaign on Legendary. There's plenty of time for Multi-player...I want to see everything in the Campaign first...it's also a great way to get introduced to all the new weapons and vehicles....after I beat that, then I'll raise hell on multi-player :)
