Yes Fable will be AMAZING! I cant wait for that. Picking it up ASAP. So tell me about your character guys? What you want em to be? Good first? Or Evil first? I am going for Evil, rtired of being good all the time. By the way this avatar that I got is from Fable Fan Site Kit very cool avatars, backrounds and all of ur site needs. I want my guy to look like the guy on my Avatar. Fat, Bald, Warrior/Berserker not a tall dude. Medium Fat Sized Dwarf looking guy with no hair and a White/Black Beard. My guy will kick ass. I will name him Evil Gronok. Currently you cant name ur characters in the game but later on you can give them a nickname. My nick is going to be Evil Gronok or just Gronok. What will your be? Describe your Hero. Fable is due out on September 13th 2004 or September 21ist 2004. Hopefully the 13 if you know what I mean. http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/232734.asp You can read the OFFICIAL faq here...http://alterego.lionhead.net/info/faq.php a lot of KICK ASS thinges fable will have. Especially getting married and able to have kids and then actually owning a whole Town or a House. This is gunna be FUN!

Yes, Fable will be amazing. My character will most likely be evil, and very evil. If someone looks at me the wrong way, that person's head will be gone before they can blink again. He will be very tall, and very physically fit, not dealing in that magic mumbo-jumbo.

Im going to try to be good. Hopefully the decisions wont be clearcut good vs evil. I dont want it to be something like stealing the bread makes you bad and not stealing it makes you good. I hope its something like stealing bread for a starving family makes you good to everyone but the breadmaker, not stealing it makes you good with everyone but the starving family. Dont know how much of that made sense but whatever...
As for my characters name, it will most likely be Tony since its my name. Dont know why but I dont like coming up with other names for games. I know a lot of people who came up with weird names for Morrowind but I just went with my name. Im going to try to make him an average looking guy. Not bald, not fat, no beard, but not a super buff bodybuilder looking dude either. Just a normal guy.

robin hood maybe?
Yeah uh.. I'm keeping mine anti-hero... Not too tall, and he'll have pimp hair...
I can't describe it to much, or I'll be shot.

robin hood maybe?
You could say that. Im just not wanting the decisions to be painfully obvious. Like in KotOR you could tell which decisions would make you evil and which would make you good so you could follow that path perfectly. Im hoping Fable will make you act more like you would yourself instead of just trying to be as evil/good as possible.

I'm probably going to try to start off Good...and then end up being really really evil.

I have the feeling that I'm going to regret it if I don't preorder it. I guess I better give EBgames a call.

I'm definitely gonna do what I do in Morrowind....Try to look good on the outside to the public, but in secret, be a horrible wicked theif/murderer/etc. I love the feeling of everyone thinking I'm this wonderful Nerevarine and the leader of every single faction, but deep down (and in stealth) I'm the worst person on the planet. ;) So anyway, in Fable, I will probably try to stick with that kind of path. I want my guy to be somewhat short, and have a good physical build with normal hair. I always like to make my characters resemble me as much as possible. Why try to be something you're not, even in a game? Just a though...
Oh, LiquidX...I'm RIGHT with you on the name thing. I think it makes it much more realistic when you use your own name. 10 times better. Just my opinion though.

I almost alway play GOOD first. With most RPG's (though maybe not with Fable) the road of righteousness is the way the game was "meant" to be played. Additionally, my conscience is seriously pained when I'm evil, even in a virtual world, so I have to desensitize myself to the plight of the inhabitants of the world before I can be truly evil.

I'm gonna be a good guy dressed in black that helps people and slays the most powerful monters with critical hits. Like a good Ninja or something like that!

Definitely good first. I'm w/ Peepers on this. I find that by the time I beat a game being a good, upstanding character, it's easier to crush the helpless and innocent on the second run.
But, anyhow, I'm going to be a ranger who uses magic to supplement his fighting, as I don't plan on being a particularly 'buff' character. I'll probably spend an inordinate amount of time in pubs playing cards and such and drinking and carousing w/ the females. I imagine I will get married numerous times and have a bunch of kids, but still be a beacon of hope for the downtrodden.
Oh, and I will probably sport a mohawk, and a blue one if I can do so....
And my evil guy will use magic only and be dressed in solid black, and he will sup on fresh human hearts and ONLY fresh, human hearts. Oh, and he'll burn everything in sight once he's powerful enough.

I am going to be a good first then evil the 2nd time. After that I am going to be a huge fat guy who practically lives in the bar like Barney from the Simpsons. And when I get too drunk I take my battle axe and kill everyone in the town.

You know, that's the same way I am come to think of it. I'll probably just bring myself to kill everybody anyway. I'll play a good guy later.

Fable sounds amazing so far and I am gonna buy after it comes out. My character will probably be a pale man with long black hair of average weight and height. He will be a serious evil guy that is rather quiet.

My character will be fairly tall with long hair, clean shaven type fellow.
I'll probably go around burping and passing wind in people's general directions. If they don't like it. Off with their heads, which I shall then kick at the nearest child.
Oh and I'll probably get drunk every night and make groin thrusting motions at the ladies. ;)

my character is def going to be emo through and through. all he's gonna do is mope about the crappy wife he has, and never do any cool heroic deeds or anything. hopefully he will be able to get a shaggy black hair cut, some vintage looking clothes, and some black rimmed glasses. can you learn how to play an instrument in fable? cause if you can, all my character is going to write about is love, and how messed up his life is. he definitely won't have any friends in the villages, well besides the scenesters, but otherwise he will be really anti-social and really quiet. man, i can't wait for fable and my bad ass emo character! :(
I used to always play role playing games in the mundane fashion where I try take the most beneficial option. For instance, if I was offered an assortment of quests to choose from - some evil and some good - I would simply base my decision on the one that supplied me with the most loot. In Morrowind, I looted everyone; I invaded houses, killed innocent people, etc., all for selfish benefit. This made my gaming experience more tedious and lifeless and completely undermined the point of a RPG. I simply did not roleplay.
Now, I'm completely differnent. Perhaps it was a result of puberty, but now I have more fun with my RPGs. I have a character constructed in my mind. He relies only on strength, he's egotistical and his motive in life is to simply do the things that will get him the most recognized and admired. I've "role played" this aggressive character in many games, so I've had plenty of opportunties to develop this character even further. For instance, in Fable, I plan to boast my quests often (boast that I can complete the task without weapons, for example) not for the money, but because my character would do that. I've also decided that he's neutral and rather indifferent. He's the type that would accept the bribe not to tattle on the guy cheating on his wife, but then also snatch the reward for spilling the beans to the wife. Not because I want to money, but because my character does - that's who my character is.
If you suffer from unstructured RPG play like I used to, I recommend deciding upon/constructing your character - who he his - in your mind and then play the game as if you were that character.

i am also hoping that the game doesn't hold you too much to the good/evil ends of the spectrum. waaaaay back in the day when i used to play d&d (20 years ago) i usually liked to play chaotic neutral characters. i hope i can play something along that line. that way i can lop off a head when i feel like the my world will be a better place because of it, and i can help out someone when it benefits me. i think my characters tend to be the way i wouldn't live in real life

Same here.... I'm gonna try and make the most repulsing, fear-striking, ruthless guy I can, frying as many people with lightning as possible (Emperor-style), flipping off everyone before I kill them, pelvic-thrusting kids' heads (since I can't kill em), pillaging villages, gettin drunk at the local saloon and having my way with as many women (evil bandit women) as I can. Then I will do the complete opposite the second time through.
