I was thinking about this, and if one was available before launch, I don't think I'd actualy like to play it. It would spoil the story, and take away alot of the surprises.
I don't know what it is, but after all the release date delays, I'd like to think that when I actualy get to play it, I get the whole package. Not just half a level or something.

Plus I would spend the rest of my time running up to launch repeating a small demo. Wishing there was more, ect.

So anyway, it got me thinking, would you guys play it?

I would play it. Bungie wouldn't release a story-spoiling demo. ;)

sure would.

Like zero said, the demo wouldnt spoil anything, it would probably just whet our appetites for halo a bit more.

It raised a bunch of questions about halo, but thats it. It revealed that it was a weapon, but not much more, and the level was fun as hell.

So im on board for a halo 2 demo.

Hell yeah I would play it. What kind of Halo fan would I be if I didnt try to get every last bit of enjoyment out if Halo no matter what way, shape, or form?

It would probably be the only thing I played until The demo until November 9th

I would definately play it. I p[layed the Ninja Gaiden demo until the real game came out too. Just something to hold me over and see how much they change on release.

Forget single player demo. They should release a 2 map multiplayer demo at the end of August. It should support all xbox 3.0 features (or at least the ones for tourney's and clans). The community would go insane. Xbox live sales would go nutty for the demo alone. Beyond that, not that Halo 2 needs any help, but when the full version releases with all the maps and single player, the online community will have architectured itself to some degree, so the game could come fully flying out of the gates. Anyhoo, 2 months of those maps would get played religiously for that period of time, and probably give some valuable feedback to Bungie and MS on the actual online load the game os going to spur.

Yeah, actualy, I could go for a Multiplayer Demo, online supported. I mean that would be insane and of course would conseal all the Single Player goodness untill November 9th/11th. :D

Damn, I'd be all over a Halo 2 demo like stink on dung! I barely make it through each day as is wanting to find out the new physics (if any) and to see if there is any change in gameplay...I'd love the heads up!

Thats a good idea, but i think Bungie and M$ already know the type of load they are going to recieve when XBL comes out. To my knoweldge, I don't know any demos that have been online supported.

Ah, like I said, to my knoweldge, I figured they were out there. I don't get OXM regularly, only when I know there is something good in the article or on the disc, I'll go pick it up.

In the UK we have loads of online demos! Rainbow Six 3 we get one every month almost with the new maps, Crimson Skys was the last one Ninja Gaiden when it came out, Wolfstein and loads of others, there is one every month in the OXM!.

I agree. Playing a demo before the whole game comes out would ruin many surprises but also I would be going insane!
In a demo you are limited to a certain amout of gameplay. you won't be able to do a lot of the stuff you'v been hoping because they'll keep the best for the game. It would be like a drop of blood falling in a tank full of sharks!
