Anything official about Game replays?

I read an article from a competing XBox fansite that there is going to be an option where you can actually replay a match you had in multi-player.

Now, I don't want to start rumors, but, wouldn't that be a freakin' sweet idea?! I know that I've heard about the idea, but, to actually have that as an option would seriously be bad ass!

Full Spectrum Warrior has this feature. After you are done, you can sit back and watch, analyzing an modifiying your tactics. This also present in most sports games (for obvious reasons). I think it would be a great idea, especially for clans. Save a few clan matches, watch it, and then report back. You could even research another team...if you could "acquire" a vid of their matches.

That would be very awsome, I love the idea of "researching" other clans.

But with all that would be going on in a level, wouldn't that be a bit hard to keep hooks on all the players? It would be cool if you could follow players or something like that, can't see it working otherwise. Unless it only shows the best bits, and some bad players get angry.

I can see it working like it does in Quake 3 before you join up, where your freely floating through the air allowing you to get and explore everywhere before the game.
Something like that in replay format would be very cool :)

Well, if it's anything like FSW's, you can only watch the POV of the person playing. In FSW all you can watch is exactly what you did, can't even adjust the camera angle.

I doubt that it'll be in. I mean, think of it. You play a round, then everybody goes to watch the replay....I don't know. It would brake up the flow too much, I think.

Would be interesting, though.

No confirmation of replays. I would use it if they had it though! It would save the wear and tear on my VCR...

Seriously, though...Instant replays are great confirmations for true bragging rights. That would be bad ass if you could actually save a replay and then be able to send it to a friend on your friend's list. *drool*

Or at least save and send carnage reports complete with stats from your battle. Show everyone who the true rocket and vehicle whores are!

Well, no biggie here. Me and My friend have our comps hooked up to our tvs, and u can record straight to the comp, but for now, its those DAMN VHS's. His is finished, and he's taped a couple xbc matches, and im about to have him hook me up soon

dont forget about the stat system that say what weapons you kill with
it would be a good way to catch hackors

Yeah, that's where I originally saw the information, but, this is nice seeing it on XBox.com this time around :D I just wonder what the extent it is going to be...I'm sure it's going to be bad ass...and probably pretty revolutionary :)

I think I have some evidence that there will be replays. Below is a screenshot supposedly taken off the beta version of Halo 2. Note the "Saved Films" selection on the menu.

not really...they all seem exactly the way i imagine halo 2 to look..
