Hi everyone,
I have been using the xbox wireless adapter to connect to xbl for 6 months and its worked perfectly. The router i use is the dlink di-614+ and the firmware is up to date and its compatible with xbox live. Now, it wont work. When i try to connect it says IP settings configured, then DNS resolved, and then xbox live not found and It says comminication error....I called d-link and they helped me set the settings on my router so it would work, but it wont. I have no clue what to do.....any help would be appreciated, thanks.

maybe the LIVE service was down.. If it was connected to the internet, but couldnt find LIVE then theres nothin you could do. But maybe turn off your cpu and xbox and then turn them back on. Hopefully its minor and be fixed by the time you read this.

What was the problem? At first I was thinking that it was a wireless connection problem. Like interference between the sources. I also thought it was WEP or a MAC filter issue.
Just curious.

I thought it was a MAC filtering issue also, but it wasnt. I had WEP disabled which was fine. I just called up d-link and we had to open up a port on my router and let unlimited traffic go to a certain IP address, and i assigned that IP address to my xbox. Thanks for the input everyone.

thats wierd that it didn't automatically open a port for the xbox. I also have a dlink wireless g router and the microsoft xbox wirless g adapter. I've never had any problems with the 2. But hey, if it works right? :)
