i idnt expect much more than that. in fact i expected a maybe the exact same teaser from exp2k3.
it was amazing at best.

Erm, I liked it, but I was hopeing for some new footage or something. I mean in my opinion that wasn't really that exciting. If I didn't know about Halo 2, that wouldn't make me go out and buy it.
They should have had 30 seconds of completely knew footage, and then at the end gone "Halo 2, it speaks for itself" Not some cinmatic crap that everyone promotes with these days.
What can I say, they did it the totaly opasite way I expected them too.

I know what you mean. I was expecting more from what IGN called a "massive trailer." I've been told that this video didn't capture the whole thing either, but I'll keep my eyes out for a more complete video.

Read the article about the trailer and compare it to what you downloaded. It has a LOT missing.

whoa, id rather watch it. i red about the first teaser (him jumping out of the ship) and i thought it would have been waaaay cooler isf i saw it, rather than red it, first.
I thought i was great. 30 seconds of all new footage? that would have been crap. You just want mroe footage cause you go on forums and ign and youve seen all the video's.
remember, this is a theatre audience, full of adults and kids and non video gamers.
IF they are to be enthralled, they dont wanna see a tech demo, or 30 seconds of all new footage. They wouldnt even know it was all new to begin with. Theatre audiences are just going
"halo 2? thats cool, my son really liked halo 1"
or
"my boyfriend plays halo1. i wonder if he has this?"
or for those not even in the know
"wow! this game looks awsome!"
either way, game footage wont impress anyone. 'cept those of us who have everybit of halo 2 info on the net. So the trailer is fine. If you werent impressed, well, it wasnt meant to impress you. you know the game is gonna be good, there's been plenty of in game footage for us. now they need to advertise to the casual gamer.

I think the existing footage is impressive enough. Anyone who thinks they need any more than what is out is ungrateful. The Announcement Trailer kicked enough ass that they could have just used that again and I would have been so happy that I could **** kittens. Halo 2 is like pancakes.

oh its sheeyt kittens...
okay, cause i thought it said...uh..."have sexual intercourse with" instead of sheeyt.
Anyways, that trailer blew me away, everytime i look at the animation at the end of the trailer, well the first few times i got goosebumps. It looks motion captured! the animatoin looks bettr than the spiderman movies! (a LOT better).
i think the trailer was dman impressive, and i cant stop watching it. i wanna see the full thing though....where the hell can i find a leows cineplex theatre?!?!?

What's even more amazing is that Bungie doesn't mocap. ALL of their animations are hand-done. All of them. All of them. All of them. Get the point?

yea, spartan said it probably was motion captured, but i think its hand animated too. I heard about bungie going crazy with the animation...oh my gd! i had no idea it was so clean, every little vibration, slight wave or movement. The master chief looks like he has mass and gravity is applied to him, physics the works!
For those of you not in the know about how a game is built, pay attention to how realistically the chief moves at the end of the trailer.
Compare that to recent marvel movies, and i cant think of animation better then those cg rendering, and if i am correct, much of those WERE motion captured!
