I think people are overreacting over the Ilovebees.com site. I mean a Bungie guy had November 9th tatooed on his arm at E3! :D I think the site is telling a very complicated story of some sort. Oh well we'll see what happens when the timers hit zero :cool:

It may be my desire for Halo 2 talking but im going with the 24th. The only good reason I see for sticking to the 9th release is that Bungie and MS said so. But then I see all the info about Bungie having a history of surprise releases and all the stuff pointing to the 24th. MS forced Bungie to release Halo on the Xbox release date. MS likes to do things on special dates. For example XBL being released one the one year anniversary of the Xbox. Think about it. Windows 95 was the biggest thing for computers ever and was released on August 24th. Halo 2 will be the biggest thing for the Xbox/console gaming therefore it could be released on the 24th.

God I hope im not being blinded by how much I want Halo 2...

Hmmm, I'm thinking it's the demo. I just don't see them throwing the game out there like that. I'm not sure how they would release the demo so we can all play it, (OXM would be 3 weeks away still I believe) but whatever. Something neat is going to happen and this is the coolest marketing maneuver I have ever seen.

No Fear, just because a game finishes development, doesn't mean you can release it right away. You have to market it and put it through at least a couple months of production. That's how games work. Halo 2 won't be finished with development until at least the end of Summer.

Because of recent enlightenment I have retracted my previous statements.

It will take no less than 2 months for the actual software to be stamped, boxed and delivered (Just look at how long it took for those beta discs). A weekend take 2000 discs, Western PA alone will need more than that. Every store that sells video games will want this, add to that every Hollywood Video, Blockbuster and Grocery store that rents out games. Unless we are on a delayed information basis, i think it would be near impossible to stamp and ship that many games before the end of August. Furthermore, Ant Farm (or something similiar) made the trailer, not Bungie.

As I've said before, the best thing anyone can do is wait 2 days to see what happens.

No, the updates are written every Friday. They are posted the same day they are written as well. Those were beta-discs.

The production between 8,000 discs and a few million are probley a lot different. No point spending tons of money to make stamps or w/e when you could just burn them for the 8,000. I donno. Just thought production really isn't a good arguement.

When did they say halo would come out initially, and when did it come out. Same for their previous games. Because I would love to get halo 2 before school :) but if they have done it in the past I could see it hapenning... maybe.

They never botched the Halo release. It was unchanged up until Bungie was bought out by Microsoft. After that we knew it would be November 15, because it was an Xbox launch title.
