I was the Colts and my friend was the Seahawks. I was up 21 to to 14 and there were about 34 seconds left and I kept picking prevent just incase he did a hot route to Koren Robinson. He's at my 10 yard line and I'm in prevent and Hassellback rolls out ot the left on 4th down and then lobs it up into the endzone and Robinson catches it, I was pissed.
Then he decides to go for the extra 2 points and I see him move his fb out to the right and then hikes it and goes for the qb sneak and he got in but NOPE!!! LOLOLOL the ref reviewed it and said he wasn't over the plain. I just laughed non stop because he said "WTF ARE THEY REVIEWIN?" I picked extra 2 points no good and he had to kick it off and I was up 20 to 21 with 2 seconds left. And he went back to replay and his body was over the line, talk about home field advantage!!! LOLOLOL

It doesnt matter if the body is over the line, the ball has to cross the white line.

Yeah what car guy said, and why are you in prevent when on the goalline, you will get scored on almost everytime........newb

In order for a two point conversion or a touchdown to count the ball must break the plane of the goal line. I would asume that if the dudes body was over the goal line then it would have been a score, unless the ball carrier was like carrying it with his feet or somthing.

I believe so. His body was clearly over the line with the ball before any knee hit the ground. I couldn't stop laughing.

he was playing prevent on his goaline the guy had to go 90 yards, and i don't think you're going to go for a run on 4th down with 31 seconds to go..

BananaMan, read his post again.
You cant lob the ball 90+ yards into the endzone. It's not possible.
So, why were you running a prevent defense on the 10 ?

He was on the 10 as in 10 yards from the endzone. On 4th down from the 10 you will not run the ball....obviously.

Not so...he could have been parallel to the goal line with the ball in the outside hand, outside the goal line. I don't think he is suggesting that his ENTIRE body had crossed the plane, but even so...it's still possible.
Hey, that's what he gets for going for the win instead of the tie. :hump:

Why wouldn't I pick prevent? I needed alot of CB's for coverage since he kept going deep, and he wasn't going to run the ball on 4th down. Time was wasting and he was trying to hurry and get a td. I had a LB and just watched incase he ran with the qb

The person that said that you shouldn't have called "prevent" was under the impression you were at your own 10 yard line. :watchout:
