MAN, ESPN made a LOT of improvements to their top tier football title.

Which one was the biggest in YOUR opinion?

I didn't realize there were sooo many.

I could only put 10 items in the poll.

And I didn't even mention PRICE!!!!!!

I don't know what they did but 2K5 is a million times better, maybe I just didn't give 2K4 a fair shake (since I only played a game or two of it). That's just gameplay though.

Honestly, I'd say the best new feature is the the online leagues--when they work.

Well, the gameplay feels exactly the same to me. The Franchise mode is so immersive now and it makes it fun to follow what's going on around the league.

You can't discount the VIP system though. That adds a whole new layer of depth to online gaming with friends.

It looks like they really listened to their customers' gripes, instead of just saying they were.

The cheerleaders were bulemic crypt keepers last year and there was no way to turn them OFF. Problem solved!

The running game was unstoppable for many. Problem solved!

An abundance of dropped passes(which actually drove me to Fever 2004). Problem solved!

Etc.................................

Gotta be the tackling... Too many broken tackles. So its been toned down. Also the blocking has been the most improved to me... I remember when linemen would let defenders run right by them. They actually pull now.. Also there are more clipping calls and the defender dont engage with the lineman if he is not facing him, that got on my nerves last year.

I like the ESPN presentation of the game A LOT. But I still have to say I'm a Madden fan.

ESPN did some things in their game that made the game very unrealistic. For instance, the Steelers DO NOT have cheerleaders and the fans DO NOT wave black towels (they're yellow). EA did a lot better job with the stadiums and unique aspects for each team (chants, fan appearence, etc.).

I don't think that qualifies as "very unrealistic."

It does if you're a steeler fan, because we don't have any! Someone had to consciously make the decision to have cheerleaders for pittsburgh, bad design.

Again, that does NOT qualify as VERY unrealistic. It is an oversight, however. Kind of like when they had a square jumbo-tron in Baltimore as opposed to a rectangular one.
