Well, my intention is not to drive hope, or crush it either. I just figured that with the mass hysteria of the bees, I just wanted to see what people actually thought in cold hard numbers. That's why there is only two choices and I decided against the "I don't know". You either think it is, or you don't.
I'll end the poll on the 24th.

By the way, for sake of my own opinion, if this game is coming out on the 24th, that just shot the hell out of my planned interview with Bungie.

Why not? Its counting down to something, or else it wouldn't be there. They wouldn't waste this much money on a stupid joke. I'm not saying it is a release date, but something significant related to halo 2 is coming on that day and being a fan of the game I am counting down, awaiting the day.

I'm back, and so is regular style weekly update stuff. Next week I'm gone again, in the Yucatan Peninsula. I may report from there. An update for conspiracy theorists: I've sorta been following the fuss – too busy to really get into it, but Halo 2 will still release on Nov. 9th in the US and most other places, and Nov. 11th in the UK. Nor will we release a playable demo, anytime soon. In fact, we're so busy with the game that there's no chance we'll even think about a playable demo until after Halo 2 ships. And that is official. It isn't happening folks. The game is however, happily on schedule for November 9th. As this week's update will demonstrate.

Not to make you cry before you go to sleep, but, check out the latest weekly update at www.bungie.net and read the first paragraph. Frankie confirmed that Halo 2 is coming out November 9th and in the UK on November 11th. No demo or game is coming out any sooner than that. In fact, he even stated that a demo would have to follow the launch of Halo 2 if anything.

But, there is some good news: I just saved a bunch of money on my car insurance by switching to Geiko.

I wish everyone would drop the whole friggin thing. It's like this. Stop telling them it's not coming out tomorrow. If you don't think it is, that's fine. They'll be dissapointed enough. I know it's not coming out tomorrow but I'm not going around calling everyone else stupid. I can say why I know though. It's because the game would had to have been shipped this past week sometime for all the stores to have it available, and there's no way that every manager that owned one of the hundreds and hundreds of stores would keep to himself that the most anticipated game is going to be released 3 months before it's supposed to. That's just insane to think that they could. I do think something is going to happen tomorrow. And I think it's going to be a demo. I know they said there will be no demo, but it would be all too perfect and the beta just stopped yesterday. And the demo too would be available through Live I would assume. Downloadable through the dashboard. My theory on it. And if it's not the demo it will be something, I'm certain of that. But not the actual game.
