I think this game will be very good - great ... maybe not truly GREAT like it's been hyped... but I think it will open up greater expectations for RPGs in the future....
The movies of this game just rocks...

Well LTM let me borrow KOTOR(Yes I have never played it because I hate Star War games!) and I must say that I don't see how Fable will be better then KOTOR....Right now I am still on Taris(gotta get launch codes from Sith base) and I am loving every second I play of this game and then LTM tells me that he didn't really like the game as much, but till he got off Taris and all that, SO that makes me wonder how a great game can get better towards the middle and then to the end!!!! I love KOTOR though and it is a blast!!!
Then I read IGN reviews and getting told about how stuff is taking away and all that is making me worry about getting this game........IMO I think this game will be great, but I can't see how it is going to be better then KOTOR

good deal
I got my copy pre-ordered at GameCrazy. I have enough store credit to pick it up first day.
I've been tempted to get Burnout 3, but then I wouldn't be able to get Fable.

KOTOR is an excellent game... I have my original copy from when it first came out (doesn't have the game of the year logo on the box) I was skeptical about it at first... But boy was I delighted... I've never beaten the game on light side (have seen the light ending) because being dark was just so much FUN.... One of my favorite dialogs was in Tatooine, you go up to a guy and he says "What? This isn't about money is it?" and I select "Well maybe it is, how much will you pay me not to kill you?"
LOL so much fun....
I can imagine Fable will provide solid reasons to play the good side as opposed to KOTOR.. I never found a good reason to be light side unless you cared about the different ending or people actually liking your character...

KotOR was freakin great. I don't like Star Wars or turn based RPG combat much, but that game blew away any Star Wars movie and was well worth playing turn based combat.
If someone is loving it on Taris, they will poop once off Taris. The game gets much better once you get off Taris.
Fable will have to be pretty damn good to beat that, but it it lloks pretty damn good.
Just a few more days

I don't want to compare Fable to KOTOR, they are very different games outside of the good/evil balance concept. KOTOR is turn based and Fable is an action RPG, that alone differentiates enough to limit comparison.
On the subject of Taris...dude...get off Taris, the game opens right up and actually gets interesting. If you quit the game before getting off Taris, you made a mistake, go back and finish Taris (it's almost like a tutorial) and revel in the greatness that follows.

I compare them because thats the best Xbox RPG and one that most people have played. They are still RPGs though, even though combat will be more action oriented (WOO HOO) they share a lot of things. Oh yeah, and KotOR is my favorite RPG of all time too:)
There really aren't any decent action RPGs for Xbox, so I'm at a lose when making comparisons. I could compare it to Zelda Wind Waker, but I don't think Zelda will be my favorite action RPG anymore. I have grown up and Zelda is still a 10 year ols elf with a boomerang. Damn, things don't even bleed in Zelda games yet. Whats up with Nintendo. I hope the more mature link is a bit more of a badass and things don't just go POOF when you hit them with your sword.
I'm hoping Fable is the older, much more badass Legend of Zelda. If it can top those games I'll be very happy.
