I have already beaten the game in normal, and now I have beaten most of the levels in legendary. The problem I have is in level eight where you disrupt the generator on the ledge place and right when you do it all of the flood stream(no pun intended) into the room. See my health is kind of low because when I got the banshee all of the covenant were shooting at me. Most of the time I go back down and get the hidden health packs....Anyway what is the best strategy for that area. So that no flood sneak up behind you, and that the rocket launcher flood don't hit you. I would appreciate it. Oh and my weapons are a shotgun, rocket launcher(both full ammo). And full grenades. Thanks for the help!

Try running for the exit (where you came inon the Banshee) and jump right before the door opens, launch a rocket after the door opens at the far wall to take out the rocket Flood, and then switch to your shotgun and hope for the best while you run to the Banshee on the platform. I just did that one last night with full armor, shotgun and assault rifle.

1. Walk in and fire assault rifle to get first 4 or 5 flood to come after you and back up to a secure position behind the door. Pummel them one at a time.
2. Go back in where the flood are and hang out just outside the generator room. Fire another shot to get their attention and quickly switch to shotgun. Nail each one of the remaining few that come out.
3. Step into generator and have shotgun ready. Once it blows, head to one of the four "tunnels" in the same room. Kill flood that jumps out and you jump in. You now have a great spot to kick back and pick them off. Just watch out for the jerk off with rockets.

i know this might seem like a cheat but it worked fine for me. i played it on co-operative with a friend and that's how i beat that level, i can't completely remember but this is that silent cartographer right? i just couldn't beat this one but i'm sure you guys will hack on me for playing with another person but it was impossible for me! :)

i really wanted to get on with the game and i couldn't with this obstacle in my way.

I already beat it. I just plowed through them. Easy as pie!

That part was hard for me too. Once the door opened i shot a rocket through it, threw a human grenade(maybe more than one not sure) then ran through the door and shot another rocket at the remaining flood equiped the shotgun and kept running. Just don't stop until you reach that load point.

yeah, after I finally beat it, I made my banshee hover right by the place. Then they would jump over me and fall to their death. Once they got on top, so I scrapped the top of it and all of these guts cam flying out. I was like:(
