The instructions are really bad for this game. How the heck do you SAVE?

I see a command for Hero Save that promises to save my items and experience ... but DOESN'T --- at least not in the guild when I'm still a little boy.

I see AutoSave but that doesn't seem to work either.

HELP!!!!

Doesn't seem to work. But after I graduated from the Guild, Game Save seemed to work fine.

you cannot save when you are a boy. Hero save just saves your guy whever your on a quest, when your not on a quest hero save changes to world save, and you can save your progress

Right, if your in the middle of a quest your game will start at the beginning of the quest the next time you load the game... Like Viper said you can't save your game when your a young boy or when your in training, it just starts over... So my word of advice would be to play the game and discover everything in the Heros Guild then complete it so it saves the game right before you can begin your quests in the map room... Then from there the game should save normally.. I spent 3+ hrs in the hereos Guild.. There is actually a few little things i stumbled upon that may come in handy down the road...

Its a must have for RPG fans or fans of Zelda type games.

I'm only about 6 hours into it, so take this with a grain of salt, but tis something most non-RPG fans should enjoy too. There is a little learning curve, but its not too bad and if given a chance its well worth it.

I ran into that problem... It's FREAKING RETARDED!

If you start up a game and haven't left the Guild yet, you better not leave for any reason. I think it was reallys stupid how they set that up. They need to break that part into sections so you don't have to do it from the start if you are taking your sweet time and need to save in the middle of it.

I understand later why they won't let you save in the middle of a quest. But the begining is different.

No definitive verdict yet. But a lot of fun so far. Very intriguing with a lot of potential depth. I don't really care much for the prominence of bodily-function humor, but that's probably just because I'm no longer in the fifth grade.

You save it very carefully.
Since it's a Gem, you put it in the "Do Not Trade" Pile of your Video Games.
I've found that it's the best way to save your games.
Ha ha! No, just kidding. Hit start & go to your save game.

What exactly does hero save do? it 'saves your stats' or something, but you can't ever load it later.

I have the game, and it is alot of fun so far. Lots of humor strewn all about, and the openness+detail is awesome.

Not morrowind-type openness, but it has that bit where you can do whatever you want to whoever you want. Awesome detail and graphics.
I got it Thursday at Best Buy for 45.00
Totally worth it.

It's your world save, Luckey. That's where you can save & load your game. Man. This game is so cool. No time for Sleep, Eat, or Drink.
Must...play...
