Well, I just got done playing Fable for another hour, quests. And well, I've gotta say, other than the cool features the game has, the game just isn't any good. I mean, let's be honest, take away the character development, housing/rent, marriage, etc. You're left with a horrible fighting system along with one lame story. I think I might just trade this for Battlefront tomorrow...
Anyone else like thinking this game just isn't all that good?

If you dont like it, then you should trade it in. I really dig this game. I think the fighting system works well enough. Though it does piss me off that stupid little bandits can block my attacks so easily. My main complaint with the game is that ALbion is far too small a world. THere's not even a single castle in the whole world! No kings in Albion?

In Halo, take away the guns, the characters, the story, etc. the game is no good. :p
I can see where you come from with the story. It isn't horribly intriguing, and comes together all too quickly. But, I really like the fighting system myself. It's defeats Morrowind's fighting system by a ton. With all that aside, if Fable does anything, it has defiantly raised the bar for other RPGs.

he wasnt saying that RPG. he was saying that (or at least i think he was) the only reason fable is so big now is becasue of the little pointless things they added. for example things like getting married and having a home and character development are not nessecary for a good rpg yet they put i think to much time into them. what im saying is that the game has lots of little "extras" but the main part of the game lacks (aka fighting and storyline) so you cant call it a great game if its missing key featurs even if it has the little bonuses.

I agree it rasies the bar, and wouldn't debate that at all. I agree on the Morrowind statment as well, but for me that says absolutely nothing (I think Morrowind has the worst fighting system I've ever seen). Fable is an insanely innovative game, that I sure hope will differ games in the future, but it's insanely unbalanced fighting system, I just can't tolerate. You can't counter, and wussy enemey attack 3x the rate you do, and the instant I unblock so I can attack, im instantly bombarded by 3 other surrounding enemies.
As for Halo, you're taking away main parts of it, gameplay and story. I didn't when saying that about Fable.

I know, just my version of a witty comment. :p
