Do you think that Halo 2 could quite possibly be the most anticipated game in the history of video games?

Seriously think about it....we've been in a fever pitch since the FIRST Halo came out...now 2 months before the release and we've got the ARG, Ilovebees.com and rumors of a new book coming out soon....if you choose to vote No, which game do u consider the most highly anticipated game ever? :watchout:

uh, yea. i once said this in class, and my teacher (being a pc gamer) just said, uh, i wouldnt go that far.

Honestly, the most anticipated game of all time for every console, well, that's a hard one right there - being that your on an XBox site, it's a stupid question to ask actually. But if you look at other communities like PS2, who has followers anticipating SOCOM2, GTA3/VC, or the next Final Fantasy, or GameCube gamers waiting for Metroid Prime 2 like it's the next version of crack - it's all about what console you are with.

I can tell you this for certain - gamers that don't have an XBox are not likely to go an buy an Xbox now that Halo2 is out - well, some will, but if they didn't after playing or hearing about the first one, it'll be hard for them to change sides, unless they push XboxLive more and more with this game. PS2 gamers can give a rat's ass that this is the best FPS to date - because many don't play that system for shooters. Same goes with the Nintendo nuts.

Definitely the most anticipated for Xbox...but i think half life 2 or doom 3 had bigger hype. Like casper said, each console has it's on big hyped up game(s)

i think its getting blown out of proportion i mean seriously how many threads do we need expressing how cool or awesome we THINK halo 2 will be? Yeah its gonna be cool and all but im not expecting the lunar landing, jesus. I bet it gets hyped up so much and when it doesnt deliver in some aspects people are gonna cry and ***** just like every game that comes out.

I know 5 people (4 ps2 gamers) that bought Xbox solely because they came to a LAN and played Halo.

Like was said before, the numbers speak for themselves. Halo 4million + copies sold, Halo 2, about a million preorders.

How about I restate the question in a way that might make sense to you.....If you're a true gamer, you'll probably have owned more than one console or gaming system in your life....with that said...out of ANY console EVER has there ever been a game as hyped as this?!
