1. How do you break into a locked house? I have succeeded in smashing windows but I can't crawl into it, and punching/attacking the door does nothing.

2. If the guards in a town are aroused by your stealing, is there any way to fight them? One technique I use is that I run around smashing barrels and stealing stuff (all while being chased by the guards) — might as well, right? — before finally fleeing the town before my health gets too low. Any other approaches to this?

3. I read in Xbox Nation magazine about the location of all these keys. My question is, is there any way (other than at random) to discover the keys on your own, without the benefit of a strategy guide? Are there any clues?

4. In Browertown, I can't have any weapons and can only punch residents or guards. Can I actually kill someone this way, though?

1) Once you are more powerful dorrs will bust open easily (with the sword, haven't tried fists). You need the steal emote to steal stuff from shops (2 or 3 points in guile to get that emote), so its not really worth breaking into.

2) watch the eye on your top right hand side of the screen and when it doesn't have a number in it break stuff and grab it quick. i.e. 1 number in the eye means 1 person is watching you, so wait for them to go away. Go to Oakvale to steal out of locked shops, Barstone isn't that great. I've also noticed once you are in when a gaurd walks by he comes right inside to get you. This is with the broken door, I don't have lockpick. Does lockpick leave the doors wide open so gaurds know you are there?

Anyway, either bribe the gaurd who patrols the area or bust the door down, swipe stuff quick and get out quick.

3) Keys are usually, found by digging in cicles of dirt (rather obvious spots), fishing where water ripples in circles or out in the open when exploring. Rather easy to find most and for the rest you can use a guide if you wish.

At this point punching to kill gaurds isn't going to happen. You might beable to kill a citizen that way, but I haven't tried it.

ps anyone do the fist fighters guild/quest thing? I'm going back to the starter town to see if I can still do it.

You can break doors w/ your fists when you become more powerful. When I was almost full on strength I think it took 2 or 3 punches.

If you ever try going on a killing spree in south bowerstone with just your fists, forget it. I spent a good hour last weekend, breaking down a door (3-4 hits), attacking the man of the house, all while fending off 3 guards. I managed to kill 4-5 guards with just my fists (doing 13 or so damage each time, so you can imagine it took a while), but was only able to kill one villager woman...was taking too long to kill just one guy so i gave up

Quitter. :p

Actually, I admire your tenacity. Taking the time to murder innocent people with your bare hands is and art quickly falling by the wayside in our society. It's good to know we have good people like you around who take pride in their work and don't mind getting a little "blood on their hands". Cheersch.
