It's good, but not great. Ok, it's very good. It's a B+. Despite being more a Fable than a Project Ego, the games main problem is it's lack of depth. There's only like five suits of armor, four towns, maybe five kinds of enemies. Taking your sweet damn time will only result in twenty hours of playing time. But that's me focusing on the negative. It's a realy good game and it'll keep you playing pretty frantcially for that twenty hours. It's just when it ends, it ends hard.

Awesome game...Although it could use to take some pages out of Morrowinds book. Best game ever right there. While Fable is good, Morrowind is still 10 times better.

Its pretty good. if you look at it. it doesnt compare to other RPGS *cough* KOTOR *cough* but when you play it, its a blast. combat is alot like zelda, but it is more in-depth

I don't count different color versions of the same outfits as being distinct.

Off the top of my head:

villager:default and worthless
apprentice:same as above
leathers
chains
plates
will users: worthless, doesn't even boost your magic capabilities and there is about two moments in the game when you might want magic protection but it won't be worth it for the zero physical protection they offer
assassin: though it looks cool, worthless
bandit: worthless, except as something you're forced to use to move the story along
dresses: funny for two seconds, then worthless.

So, not counting all the worthless suits, there are essentially three suits of armor available, not counting the bright/dark versions.

It certainly seems that because there were three "warrior" types, their would have been three "magic" and "stealth" types as well.

I seriously believe this game was just pushed out the door to get it out as a strong season starter for microsoft game. It's very good, and I shouldn't let my hopes for what Project Ego was supposed to be influence my opinion of what fable actually is, but when you've waited this long, that's essentially impossible. Still, had they put more depth into it, created a forty hour game instead of a fifteen, Fable would be great.

I bought it today and have about an hour and a half of my time in it. Basically if you got super, ultra, uber hyped you will be disappointed. Its still a great game and I LOVE it (because I didnt buy into the hype :)). Some people complained about the controls but I find them very easy to use. The graphics are beautiful. Theres quite a few humorous parts (I was very tempted to buy the Arseface hero title). While its not as immersive as it was made out to be its still a very good game. I give it a 9.1/10 and im not even a big RPG fan.

Certainly didn't live up to the hype. Good game, but to short.

It's fun to play if you like action rpg's with no puzzle elements. It has a very limited replay value, and it is very short. it is possible to replay as different character, but the quests are exactly the same.
They say for every action there is a consequence in fable. This is not 100%true.Maybe 20% true. You can go in a wipe out a town if you are powerful enough, and you don't end up paying for it in any way. All you have to do is leave the town and come back a day or so later, and it is like the guards have forgotten who you are.
The graphics are good, and you can customize your characters hair and outfit.
If you like hack and slash rpg's get it.
Mainly outdoor areas to "explore". No free roaming. Unfortunately there are no massive dungeons 4 or 5 levels deep. The fact that you have to follow paths...Deep dungeons and old ruins would have been well suited to this pathed gameplay.
The character you use will age ,but he seems to age at a very fast rate and even faster if you use magic.

There was too much hype for Fable, and the developers didn't live up to all the bs hype.
I enjoyed this game, but it makes me wonder how come it took them so many years to make fable. I think they were spending most of their time at the local pub,and less time working on this game over those all the years.
I was just getting to really enjoy this game, and then it's over.
You can continue after the credits, but there isn't anythig to do that you haven't already done. Less actually since there are no more guild quests.

I enjoyed Fallout 2 more. The PC version.
