but it's free, if you want it you go to Orchard Farms and stand in front of the barn looking at the side that has a stack of hay and a lamp post to the left of it, if you dig behind the stack it should be there, just make sure you do the spade action manually since it won't pop up on the quick screen

So how many legendary weapons have you gotten? And which is the most powerful?

I got 10....the most powerful is the Sword of Aeons.

Are their any that aren't swords?
AND WHY ISN'T ANYONE COMPLAINING ABOUT THIS GAME?
Project Ego was supposed to be a groundbreaking experience...I remember reading about how you can cut down a tree and when you get older the tree was still down...and why do you have to age so fast...god I have so many complaints....
Yendig
09-26-2004, 06:26 PM
This isn't Project Ego though. When the name dropped so did a lot of ideas. People aren't complaining because the game is not at all as bad as people are trying to make it. And you age fast because of your use of magic, and key points in the game.

I just don't see why people are so satisfied with dropping 50 bucks on a game that takes you 20 hours to beat...especially one with no replay (if you do all the sidequests the first time)...

Come on man. There's more than 20 hours of gameplay here. Also, Fable isn't about beating the game, it's about how you beat the game. Plus, we all know that Fable is the first step in a new vein of RPG's. People want real freedom, not perceived freedom through branchiong stories, we want an evolving world that reacts to us. Fable didn't do that, but it planted some of the core principles for other games to follow. Watch and see what Fable has started. That's why we love it. Because despite all it's shortcomings it's original and groundbreaking.
Furthermore, we want to show our support to the developers. We want them to know that we as gamers are excited about these concepts and that they are in fact heading in the right direction. They need to stay the course and they will make money for it, because we want this.
I got the "Cutlass Bluetane" from a Demon Door. I can't remember which one it was though.

Most people have already been through the shock that you are going through and already know Peter Molyneux wasn't able to deliver on a lot of the things he wanted to put into the game.
Its still a very good game. More content would be nice, but IMO its got Zelda beat when it comes to action-RPGs. Like I said though, it needs more content, but is still a great game.
Don't let disapointment and expectaions ruin the game for you.

Perfect example you guys. And I still believe there are a lot of other things in the game that are real secrets. I'm sure there is a dragon.

You sure that dragon isn't that goofy swamp monster thing you fight after escaping prison? I can see how they might label that a dragon.

They spend hours and hours creating a dragon from scratch then hid it in the game so nobody can find it... makes a lot of sense. At best it's going to be download content or some kind of booster disc.

That is the Kraken. I can tell that there is the dragon but we can't just access it by now.
Yendig

Yeah, I'm positive I'm not thinking about Kraken. The picture on the wall! Haha it proves there has to be one. :p
A booster disc is totally possible I suppose. But the fact that the game was so easy makes want to believe more then anything that they did some serious secret hiding in this game.

The picture proves only that in an early version of the game, there was a mural for a dragon they had planned to put in the game.

By the way, why will there be a worthless weapon like scimitar ?
Yendig
09-30-2004, 03:33 PM
Wow. I wish someone could just verify that this stuff is true. If it is, and they're all that well hidden then Fable is A LOT better then what people have been saying about it.

If I oh say cheated and figured out where the pan was before I found all the clues would that make the pan suck, I have a pan that dose zero damage.

Me too, my pan is worthless. The Guildmaster basically pipes up and scolds you for not getting all the clues first.

How do you get cutlass bluetane and the Sword in the stone? Do you just have to max out your physical thing for that?
BananaMan
10-02-2004, 05:23 PM
Nah it's like all of them on four.
But if you've already done it once before they was that high, then you HAVE to max them out to get it out, even if your stats are on 1 you still have to max them out to get it.

Go into Hobbe Cave, you can easily build your combat multiplier up to at least 20-25. But make sure it's at LEAST 15. Once you come out it'll drop about 5 points, that's when the rock monster comes out of the ground, attack it and you should have a combat multiplier above 14 which is required to open the door.
Another tip, because there are so many hobbes, is to use the magic where it has a force field around you.

yeah, except i beat the game so there are no more hobbes!!!!
BananaMan
10-02-2004, 11:30 PM
I did too, the hobbes still appear fine for me if you go into the cave. I don't mean the ones that spawn outside of it. Even after you beat the game there should be a ground thing come out next to the demon door. If not you're screwed :D

Well, I guess I'm never gona be able to get the Murren Greathammer, as I cannot get into the back of the Heroes Guild any more. There are rocks in the way...

Yep, you can no longer get back there. That's a stupid part of the game, it makes the Guild useless.

14 will work aslo =) i had 21 when i started to leave the cave and when i came out it automatically dropped it to 10. killed the monster in 4 or 5 hits, got it to 14 and ran over to the door and it opened. I was like, whew, finally. :hump:

some people have so many hours on this game, nothing has happened. This game is pretty much useless about 2 hours after you beat it.

Well, now I have Ronok the Axe, and the Cutlass. I'm working on getting the Greatsword that you buy from Bowerstone North. After that, I'll hunt for some keys, and get a few more.
Oh, and I beat the game too, but didn't let it continue. Boy was that an easy boss fight. Then again, I'm like a giant ball of muscle and armor.
EDIT: I now have Ronok the Axe, Cutlass Bluetane, Arken's Crossbow, The Katan Hiryu, Solus Greatsword, and The Harbringer.
Man does the Solus Greatsword ever kick ass. It makes the undead dead again in no time flat.

Well, I had about 70K, and the sword was 86K(I think), so I went and played that match game for a while, and bet 1000 gold each time. Then, after I bought the sword, I went to sleep. It was night then. That means Lady Grey was in her bedroom. So, we "went to bed together".

Dude...I cannot get the Sentinus from the Temple of Avo. I tried giving them slightly larger amounts of money over and over, no bueno. I straight up GAVE them 93000 gold, and they said the God's would be most pleased if I repeated it...wtf?

What alignment are you? I read that the more evil you are before you give the money, the less it costs. If you are straight up evil, it supposedly costs 40Kish, and if you are straight up good, it supposedly costs up to and in upwards of 250K.
