Holy crap, that's the exact same headset I use at work.. except mine is all black. Planetronics makes our headsets for radio use.

If it's as good as mine, it'll kick ass.

Thats as much as halo 2.... Not worth it to me. That and Halo 2 for 100 bucks.. It looks cool but I'm not getting it. Looks like ill stick to my normal xbox live headset with duct tape.

Haha, i've killed two xbox live headsets, they both broke in the same place the little connecter spot. i might pick this up but, the price tag is a little steep. reclaimer it better kick ass if i buy it, or i'll ban you. :p

Im getting it, with the amount of time I will spend on XBL, especially if there is online co-op, its worth it to me, if it lasts a year, thats 14 cents a Day, lol

Ours are 120 bucks a piece. Considering it's the identical model except we use a different proprietary plug of course.
I like mine, I've been using the same one for 3 and a half years and it still sounds the same. I've dropped it a few times and slung it across the room several times.
The worse I did was I accidentally stepped on it and it came apart, but I snapped it all back together.

I think the price is fine. The only thing I'm worried about is if they are using cheap audio parts inside it. Ours kick ass and the clarity is great, but I hope it's the exact same thing inside the ear piece.

By the way, it takes a little getting used to having that thing inside your ear. It feels a bit odd, but you get used to it. The whole unit is supported by the ear piece inside your ear. It just plugs into your head.

I'll pick one up...I hate the standard XBL headset...it kills my ear...not the sound, but, the comfort around my ear is terrible. XBL headset/comfortable = oxymoron ;)

Yeah, Halo 2 Limited Edition + Plantronics XBL headset + XBL subscription = $155.00. Worth every cent :D

i'm picking up that as well. but i'm not getting the limited edition of halo, looks nice and all, but i really dont need it. But the headset i could definately go for, even be able to lean back in my chair now without the back of the headset getting in the way.

I would love to get one of those but I'm still on the fence about it. It's an economical mystery that you can charge the same amount for a headset that took maybe <1 year and <$1million to engineer and you can charge $50 for a game that took 3 years and several million dollars. I guess that means Halo 2 should cost about $150 itself :-P

Actually I would but only if I knew for a fact that is uses the same speaker and microphone that my headset uses at work. If they used cheaper equipment and only casted it in the bodystyle of my headset, I wouldn't bother.
But if it's the same deal? I'd get it.

I'm in complete agreement with Reclaimer, once again. This headset is far superior to the standard XBL headset. Plantronics probably doesn't make much money on this headset. My guess is that they really make their money with the professional call-center versions and this is a great way to get their name out there.
