How do you block in morrowind?

I know this game is old news, i started playing it again and need to know how the hell do you block? Can't remember if there is a block button? thanks.

I Played morrowind for a while back in the days but there is no set block button. You just block at a percent at which ur block skill is at.

Block is automatic. I think if you hold your weapon back as if to strike it will block also. And it gives you block experience points too.
