Ok, when The Hulk came out on dvd you could pop in the second disk and access a Hulk xbox only one level demo. Recently, on the Return of the Jedi star wars extra disk you get a demo of SW Battlefront for Xbox only. Now, I was just going through the special features of the Van Helsing dvd and it says to put inside an Xbox for a demo of the game.

Now, does anyone know if Microsoft teamed up with Universal and Fox to put out demo's of Xbox games? Or do those companies really like microsoft? Anyone know? I haven't heard of any deal but, then again, it probably wasn't news worthy.

They're doing it because it is an easy way to get a demo of their game out to a specific audience. It is a win win situation for both and you can probably expect more studios with game tie-ins to start doing the same.

Just another way of getting their product more known and if only a fraction of people that play a demo from their DVD purchase, and go buy the game, that was well worth it.
