Once Halo 2 hits our systems, is there going to be time for XBA? What would be the point of being here if everyone is off playing Halo 2?
I could see interest in the site dropping off big time. I could also see interest picking up. Halo 2 may spawn a huge amount of new members coming to the site.
What do you think?

It'd be nice if it was used to get more competition going - even for those that aren't on your friends list at the time.
Gamertag search is on the front page, FYI.
I'm going to create a new ladder for CC, hopefully I'll be able to talk Stephen into getting it on the front page so we can get everyone in for some good tournaments.

Well for those of you who talk on this site mostly from work (like I used to) I'm sure your contribution won't fall off as much or at all. But others who use their free time to come and visit I'm sure there will be a noticable fall off for some. I used to come here everyday when I used to have a job with internet access and some free time, but when I got home from work I would hop on XBC and play Halo till I went to sleep. So for me you probly wont see me spending my free time here(not that I spend alot of that here anyway), it will be spent online humping your dead corpse in ||-|| //-\\ ||_ (( )) 2

Yeah, I go on XBA in my spare time. And come November 11th, spare time will be non-existent. And when I do check in, it'll probably be because I'm pissed off with a pack of Brutes whooping me of Legandary.

i think xba will be dead for about a month. hell the whole internet will be dead for a month.
then once we finish campaign and get our online fix, we'll come here to post great stories about it.

I think people have extremely over hyped the game, and after just a little bit they are going to see that it's basically they same game. So there will be minimal time spent in single player.
Then peeps will be jumping online like crazy to play. But the people that have been on XBC for so long are gonna realize it's still basically the same thing. And all the new people to online Halo is gonna be blown away. "WOW HALO ONLINE IS THE ROXORS"
But after a short time poeple are going to get sick of all the cheesers/cheaters/lamers that infest online random games.
Thus the tail of an over-hyped game is complete and a game not completely deserving of such sales will go down as being yet another over-hyped decent game.

halo 2 = meh. sorry but its true...... there isnt the same skill that was needed in halo 1, you can only be so accurate with dual wielding, in halo 1 the great and good players were distinguished by 3 shots and how fast you could get them off. Here it seems almost spray and pray for the most part.

To be quite frank, I'll likely fall off the XBA planet. Once Halo 2 comes out, I'll just talk to you guys on XBL. I'll post my new gamertag so people can feel free to add me. But, that's the only place people will find me anymore... It's very likely.
Hell, even Casper will pass me up on post count ;)

I don't post here too much, but if gamers would start hosting tournaments off this site it would boost the activity a lot. Also, a lot of people will be using Halo 2 forums all over, people will get stuck in the Campaign and need help from his or her fellow gamers!

I think the last time you'll see me is 11/9 at 12 something when I get back from gamespot.....then I will go nonstop with this game....skip one day of school then after school everyday until the end or I get stuck..then I'll go online!!

You boys look parched, can I get you some hate-orade?
Seriously, if you're so non-plussed, or as only a literary genius can put it, "meh", why waste your time in a Halo forum?

I will be doing that starting the week after the game is released, to get everyone ready. Clan-Council.com will be hosting as much as we can. I plan on having a preview up this weekend, if everything goes right.
