Ok lets have it addicts. I have breifly played Baldurs Gate(dark alliance) on the Gamecube. How is the Xbox version of both games? How long is game play? Replay value? Are the extra races and classes worth it in part II? Which one do you guys reccomend if any?

Fun game. I enjoyed the first one more. I'd consider them more hack 'n slash than RPG. Graphics were nice but games were very linnear and short. Definetly a rental or used purchase.

i played the first one and, by halfway through, the only real thing to keep playing for is seeing how it ends and building your character's stats. it's not a bad game...just not the pinnacle for gaming, imo.

its a shame xbox does not have a lot of solid rpg available. I hope that changes soon.

I liked the first BG. I never played the second one. It's completely different than the PC version (much smaller world).

Second one had the potential but the studio went bankrupt and boy does it show. The last levels we're obviously designed and implemented over the course of an afternoon (anyone who played both knows exactly what I'm talking about).
The first one is a GREAT co-op game. Graphically I'm sure they are pretty close. Buy it used and you'll love it.
