View Full Version : It may be to late to preorder your LE if you want it at midnight!

Thats right folks, if youve waited this long to preorder and want the Limited Edition you MAY have to wait longer! My friend waited until the last minute (this weekend) to preorder his copy of Halo 2. He wants an LE but the guy at GameStop said he will have to wait until tuesday November 16th to get an LE. He really doesnt want the normal edition (which they will have plenty of come Nov. 9th) so he decided just to wait. Just a word of warning. Glad I paid mine in full 8 months ago... :cool:

i tried to preorder the LE last month. gamestop said the same thing. so i just preorded it anyway but i will be getting the regular edition as well.

I changed my pre-order the very day the LE was announced...paid in full and ready to pick up. I originally pre-ordered Halo 2 two years ago! :D

I think I'm in the clear on this one ;)

I got a question though. Are the LE's only supposed to be for people who preordered or got theirs like the first week or will they keep printing copies of it even after the hype slows down?

i would pre-order the regular edition in case they dont have the limited edition in yet.

Well, I would imagine that they will only make a certain amount of LE's and once they are gone, that's it. It's probably based on pre-orders; however, as you know, there will likely be more made than just that. I would be willing to wager that the LE's will probably be gone after the first week.

If they kept making them, then, they probably shouldn't call it "Limited Edition" :D hehe

Heres my theory... everyone who preorded (almost everyone) upgrades to the LE.. .i no i did, even tho i got one of each... making the regular more limited than the Limited Edition, at least for the first couple days

We are still preordering LE's but they told us the cutoff date will be VERY soon. Go now and do it if you haven't.

I got my LE preordered, gonna pay it off for good this weekend. If they tell me i have to wait I'll just get the regular. I'd rather not wait.

Mine is already payed off. If they sell out of the LE Halo 2 before I pick the one up that I bought, the store will see a very angry Maximus ;)

Hehe, thats why i plan on going at midnight, I'm taking no chances that they might get sold out. However, the dude at my EB told me that they were getting LEs for preorders only.

My gamestop automatically switched all pre-orders to the LE when it was announced.

Ya I got copies of each on pre-order already. I am getting my regular one from the local Walmart here at midnight, and my LE from FYE here on Nov 9th during the afternoon. I love it, I can't wait.

I ordered my LE a month after it was announced, GameSeek was the first UK Store I know of to start taking orders, atleast 3 weeks before GamePlay, Amazon and such.

i honestly don't see the point in getting both, there is nothing different with the LE.. who cares.. it's like George Lucas releasing Star Wars over and over.

I sitll havent preordered mine... Without an xbox it just seemed pointless, and then I never realized how close it was coming. Ill have to pick up an xbox and preorder on friday, hopefully they are still doing LE's if not Ill live with the normal edition

Because it comes in a metal case and has an extra DVD. And how can it be like George Lucas is both of these are released at the same time.

I'm not gonna buy both but i'm definately gonna get the LE.

Not sure if this is true everywhere, but my store said that the people who were automatically upgraded to the le, are receiving it at the regular price.

If it's a diff. i'll probably go regular flavor. It's only 10 or so, but I just don't see myself watching the dvd and I could care less about the case. But given a free upgrade hell yeah i'll take it.

Exactly.. I don't care about the making of the game, any big fan has been following the making for 3 years. The metal case will only be handy if you're burying this game in a time capsul.

On the flip side, I did break down this morning and pre-order Halo 2. I went up to Blockbuster to return a game, and I saw the poster.. PRE-ORDER HALO 2 NOW AND YOU'RE GUARANTEED TO GET IT ON THE 9TH!

Although I'm confident there would be no lines and I would get it anyway, I pre-ordered it.. now instead of paying 59.99 I pay 49.99 on November 9th.. lesser hit on the wallet psychologically.

Lol, my gamestop already has the second shipment filled up, that means that if you wan't Halo 2 you are going to have to wait for a reeeeeaaaly long time...

Yeah when i pre ordered my LE Halo 2 the guy said the 16th but then when i went there today to pick up my copy of GTA:San Andreas he said it was the 9th that i would get my LE copy???
