hey guys..do you have any recomendations on a good place to buy an adaptor so i can connect an xbox controller to my PC? i usually buy all of my stuff like that from levelsix.com but their site went down recently and isnt very fuctional at the moment.

im looking for a relaible site that isnt too expensive. I have wanted one of these for a while now..but never reallly had a good reason to get one. but now, i found a place to download drivers for my steel battalion controller to use it on my PC..so i really want to get one of these cables to try it out.

do you have any reccomendations?

i thought about lik-sang, but when i looked there in the past, shipping seemed to be a bit steep. (since it was coming from japan)

i did find this

http://www.the-console-corner.com/xbox_twins_usb_cable_set.htm

which was nice since it has one of each cables...so i can connect usb stuff to my xbox as well. so right now i am thinking of getting it from there...have any of you ordered from that site before?

here we go again
make your own
get a brake away cable and a usb cable and some electrical tape

cut off the BIG end of the brake away cable
cut off the little end of the USB cable (the squareish end)
connect the colored wires to each other, there should be 1 wire that is left (think its yellow) dont do anything with it
get a xbox controler driver http://redcl0ud.hostrocket.com/files/XBCDv057.exe
and your set

yeah, i know how to make one and i thought about doing it...the only problem is, i dont currenty have a spare usb cable, or spare xbox extension cable lying around. so i figured instead of buying each of those, and then having some ugly, hack job of a cable, i could just buy one that looks nice.

i went to resellerratings.com and checked out the-console-corner where i found the one i posted..but their rating is very low..alot of unhappy customers.

i went back to levelsix.com, where i usually buy this stuff..and it looks like they are slowly getting their site back up. they are getting more products back on the site, and their navigational links are working. perhaps i wil ljust wait a few days and order from them, since they have always been great. they even have the one adapter in stock that allows you to connect 4 xbox controllers to one usb port.

well, i ended up ordering the super joy box 11 from www.jandaman.com

it has 4 xbox ports into one usb port. it just arrived today, so i will try it out tonight. i found drivers for my steel battalion controller, but i am not sure if it will work with my MC2 racing wheel. hopefully it will.

i also got one of the HORI digital controllers for the gamecube. it feels very good. the buttons and d-pad feel like a 1st party controller...none of that loose 3rd party crappiness. i cant wait to try it out with the gameboy player, and the megaman anniversary collection. the Dpad on the original gamecube controller is way to small and positioned funny to really enjoy those kind of games...this one feels much better..like the snes controler, so it should be awesome.
