Morrowind - HELP - Can I get both High ranks (fighters and thiefs guild) ??

I'm at level 77 :hail: , almost done all the small things... anyway...

Gentelman Gim Stacey want me to kill the Vivec fighters Guild boss, and he wants we to kill the thieves boss (Gentelman Gim Stacey) :huh:
Also when i am assinged 2nd in command of the fighters boss, the orc outside his room attacks me... I reloaded and waiting for a reply... doing other stuff now, i know i have to kill the orc, dont mind...

Is there a way to kill both bosses and get the ranks??? Like lying to them?? Or getting the rank from an other Fighter boss??? like The Balmora or Ald-Ruhn Fighters boss???

I know that it probably dont matter for the game but i really want to have both top-ranks. :bang:

I don't think you can, but kill Gentlemen Jim. He has a great Daedric weapon and a skeleton key that opens any lock. :hump:

But are u telling me that I can only kill one?? And u are sujesting to kill Jim???

Has anyone tried something else??? Coz i think that i was gonna do that in the end...

Or if you think that the fighter tells me that he will leave after he has promoted me, then it feels better to kill him, since he wont be found in the game again (or so he says)

you can only pick one, that's one of the major mind teasing problems when you have to pick a side...i killed both to see what was the out come,, kill one and if you don't like the outcome load back and kill the other

I kill the Vivec boss of fighters guild go for the top rank from Jim Stacey for thiefs...

Then perform all Ald'Ruhn quests for that boss and get top-rank for fighters????

If you're in good with the steward in Ald Ruhn (Mercius?) then he'll lead you to to taking over the fighter's guild. Also, you don't need to kill Jim because he'll give you the skeleton key when you take over the thieves guild.

i killed all the bosses and im only level 55. but for the Fighters guild u should kill Jim.

but if u want to be the "guildmaster" for both u should talk to Percius (he can be found in Ald'ruhn) and do his quests. he will give u 6 quests, do them, the last quest is to kill Hard-Hart.

DON'T go right after Hard-Hart, talk to Jim about killing Hard-Hart too.
that way u would be killing two birds with one stone. :p
