SMG + Plasma Rifle or SMG + SMG

Which is a better combination in your opinion?

I like the two SMG's more than a SMG and Plasma Rifle.

Plasma rifle has a longer effective range at a distance, meaning it's more accurate than the SMG at long range. Got to use bursts though or it overheats. But I like to lead in with the PR and then start using the SMG in dual mode.
So you could start tearing someone up with the plasma rifle and then finish them off with the dual action when you get into range with the SMG.

Its all about smg+magnum. It works for me. , with that combo I can be a beast. :D.

i'm a plasma pistol and SMG kinda guy.... Just barely longer range than a shotgun, so I have to pace myself with my surroundings...

i always have a magnum in my left hand and an smg in my right. everytime i've met dual smg's with it i always win

Something to consider though that I've experienced good luck with... dual magnums.
Range and power. Almost feels like the old Halo, except no frigging scope. But, it's good to make quick work.

I agree. When I played for about 4 hours at my friend's(since I don't own the game myself), whenvever I had the Plasma Pistol and the Magnum, I never died.

When you're really inebriated, dual needlers is the stuff you want. (Actually, dual needlers really is lethal).

dual anything is good in my opinion. I feel naked if I don't have both hands filled...or 4 plasma grenades ready to throw.

I'm a huge fan of the dual heedlers. The reason they are so deadly, is that you don't need headshots, just lock on the target and start pumping them full of those little explosive needles.

I'd say the Plasma Pistol + Any other weapon combo has been the most effective. Fire the charged burst, and then it's a fraction of a second before your opponent goes down from your second weapon.

Magnum + Magnum does not equal a 2-shot kill like the Plasma Pistol + Magnum does. That combo is pretty much unstoppable on levels like Ivory Tower :cool:

yea, it takes about 3 shots to take down...

1 from plasma pistol with full charge to take down shield....2 shots to the head with magnum to finish off.

I would agree except 32 shots out of the mag is not enough to get anywhere in the game I did how ever beat the first game on legendary with thoughs but the low ammo avilable in this game you really can'nt afford to have favorites. the plasma rifel and smg you could keep enough ammo to get throug most levels except the flood parts of the game you need that shot gun if you ask me the flood in this game arn't affriad to be 10 deep and in your face the shoty and plasma granaids worked well for this.

I always make sure I have a SMG on me, its like one of the best weapons in the game IMO. Dual weilding with a SMG and a Pistol is cool as I found it easy to kill Any enemy with one round! Its so cool. BTW, anyone think even of heroic it seems, well easy? Im only Lv 2 but nothing has really been a challenge. Might start again in Legendary...

yeah my favorite is smg-magnum with your magnum in the right hand... you can hold down your left trigger and forget about it while squeezing off headshots with your magnum a la halo 1
