Hi I have A HDTV Widescreen Sony TV (60 something inch), which I bought a few months ago WITH a Panasonic surround sound system. And I was looking for what Audio & Video cables I should buy. The Monster Component GameLink 400X Audio Cable caught my attention because it presuaded that it was the best out there,

But at the same time it costs $99
There are some more monster cables here:

I was wondering if Monster Component GameLink 400X Audio Cable is the best way to go for maximum preformance, and what cables are you using?
Which set of cables is the best?
Whats the difference between these cables?

Thanx :)

I think this is the same one for $60. And shipping is only about $6. http://www.bestbuyplasma.com/Plasma/Product.asp_X_Sku_Y_XGL400CVAA10
Saves you a few $$$ anyway. I'm in the same boat as you. I just got a 60in. Sony Widescreen tv and want to know the best way to go for cables too. Let me know what you come up with.

Anything monster is the best out there but you will pay the big $$$ for it... Although you can get cables that are a lot less expensive and probably not notice a diffrence between the expensive monster cables and the cheap generic cables.

Personally every cable i buy is Monster.

Well not exactly true. There are dozens of cable companies out there that smoke Monster cables in the performance area but are usually more expensive, and there are plenty more that match the performance but are cheaper.

But as for the Xbox they are the best all in one solution but you do pay for it especially when you add in their proprietary optical cable.

What other companies make performance cabling? I've seen a few others but when i compared them to my monster cables they sucked...

**Bettercables
RAM Electronics
Have Inc. (Proflex and Haveflex)
Cardas
**AudioQuest/CinemaQuest
BDCable
Impact Acoustics
**Ultralink
**XLO Electric
**MIT Cables
**Esoteric Audio
Siltech Cables
**Elco Audio
**Stealth Interlinks

**Some of the best cables out there. Most not exactly cheap. And in terms of using them for the Xbox, probably not practical. But as for hooking up your other components, Monster has nothing on them. Actually they do have one thing on them, the B&M market. That's where Monster will continue to thrive.

Well, I just went and dropped $60 for the Monster Cable GameLink 400 X and really didn't notice a whole lot of difference over my S-Video hookup, but maybe it's just the game I was playing-Halo 2 which is 480. Maybe I was just expecting to much, and I am playing it on a 60" wide screen. It still looks good though.

Halo 2 IMO doesn't look good at all on an HDTV. I have a 60" LCD and i think it looks crappy...
