I love the beam rifle

If you think the carbine is ineffective...you haven't used it enough. Rapid shots to the head are just devastating. I still like the human sniper rifle, something about it strikes fear into my enemys ;)

The beam rifle is good because if u dont overheat it u never have to reload whereas the sniper only gets 4 shots off. Beam rifle IMO!!!

I say the Human Sniper because the Covenent Beam Rifle has to cool off if you shoot to fast..and im a fast shooter so its a disadvantage for me.

human sniper rifle has 4 shots and if you shoot them fast, you have to reload. reloading is like overheating for the beam rifle...vice versa. but, with the beam rifle, you dont have to worry about reloading when you are zoomed in with a 1 bullet left compared to the human rifle.

With the beam rifle, 1 shot 1 kill is all you should need. If you manage to overheat then stagger your shots carefuly. The sniper rifle has to reload regardless.

i prefer the human sniper. the reload doesnt bother me but i find its easier to aim with due to the tiny dot "o" instead of the other shape "( )". it just makes it easier for head shots. IMO. and the carbine is awesome for mid range i'd chose it over the battle riffle.

For raw sniping, I prefer the 4 shot Human sniper rifle. However, the beam rifle is more versatile - easier to use at mid range and even close because there's no passive reloading time.

I can guarantee you the scripting for the speed of the two guns are identicle.

I like the Beam Rifle because of the non-reloading capabilities.

I think they are referring to the velocity of the projectile, not how quickly you can fire them

I like the Sniper Rifle because it's the classic. The Beam Rifle reminds me too much of the Lightning Gun in UT2003 and Unreal Championhip that they replaced the sniper rifle with. I lost a lot of sleep over that gun. It was the worst thing ever. I couldn't kill anyone with it and I almost always got head shots with the sniper rifle. I know the Beam Rifle is a good gun and doesn't need to reload and I can kill with it. It just brings back very bad memories. also with the Sniper Rifle, if you miss your first shot, you can shoot the second (and third if necessary) immediately after to make sure they don't see where you are. With the Beam Rifle, if you miss the first shot and fire a second quickly, it will over heat and you won't get to fire the third. With the Sniper Rifle, although you must reload it, you can finish them off quickly and then reload so you're ready for the next one. With the Beam Rifle, if you miss that first shot and fire a second quickly, it will over heat and you might not have time to wait for it.

Well, I would have to say the Beam Rifle. It is a lot easier to kill close-range than the sniper rifle, so you are pretty much safe from anything. From pst experiences it is easy to get headshots, whether it be close range or across the map.

Exactly, the Beam Rifle can be avoided if you know where the sniper is, hard to dodge to human rifle.

I haven't spent much time with the beam rifle, but if they were sitting next to each other I'd pick up the sniper rifle, but I'm starting to come around on the battle rifle too, I like it now. I dont care for the covenant carbine as much though. My favorite weapons are sniper rifle, battle rifle, shotgun, and dual pistols.

Beam rifle is the best. If you time it right you never have to wait for heat or "Reload" time. Seems to have more ammo. Need I say more

I say the Sniper Rifle is more effective because if you shoot the Beam Rifle two quickly, you're only going to get two shots out of it. But, both own, IMO.
