I don't see it happening...

But could be good I guess, would possibly capture a larger audience.

I have EQ2 on my PC.. and I was running into some problems. Luckily I got a cool step grandpa that went ahead and bought me an additional 512mb's of ram so I now have a total of 1 gig.. and all my problems are gone.

Most peeps that play consoles exclusively don't want to deal with computers.... BUT MMO fans I believe will find it silly to attempt an MMO on a console. I think it would be almost impossible to successlly port it over and use a controller, you'd need a keyboard/mouse set up.

I can't get into to much detail how good it is compared to other games. I only played SWG for a couple of months. And that is about all my experience with MMO's

EQ2 is pretty good. I like it better then SWG. Graphics are really sweet if your computer can handle it. Having all the NPC's with voice overs is pretty sweet. I havn't dug into much of it yet. I'm not to sure about Guild stuff yet. I have only grouped with 1 other person (family member) .. So I'm not sure how large groups work. One thing that is nice is you can set the Looting to a lotto. So everyone will loot the corpse. And only one person will win and get the loot. That helps with the looting whores :)

EQ2 sucks. If you want to get into the best online RPG to date take a strong look at World Of Warcraft. That game has sucked away countless hours of my life.

Matrix Online is the one to own.

Beta is worthless at this point in time.

I'd disagree with that, I didn't like WoW at all.

I'm not sure about EQ2 on Xbox. I do know that I like it a lot on my PC. I guess I would like it on the Xbox too then...I'd never really thought about it though.

SOE might have a problem with it, like stated.

As for EQII vs WoW, if you are looking for a social life or a replacement for it, EQII will work because you need to live and breath it to get anything good (whole game is built around uber loot and guilds like the last game), but its the most rewarding if you are going to invest tons of time in a MMO game. If you are looking to play more casually then WoW is your game. You can get things done without spending 30-60 hours a week playing and it plays a lot more like a single player game as far as doing quests to level rather than hunting. The levels sring up on you and surprise you because you are doing a quest/quests and not thinking about how many bubles or bars you are at/need or how many mobs you need to kill to get them.

I agree. I played EQ1 for years but after a year of EQ2, I finally deleted it all from my hard drive and bought WoW. It's the only online game you need to play!

You're going to be seriously sorry if you buy that buggy and expensive game from that arrogant company, Sony. You need a heavy duty computer just to run it and even then, you can't raid in anything other then extreme performance on average machines. Anyone who says otherwise is lying to you and probably works for SOE and posts here.

The graphics are ok in EQ2 but you can't play and see it at the same time. Plus it costs you thousands just to see that much.

WoW runs on minimum 256 RAM and I've never had a problem. The quests are beautifully designed. You can tell someone didn't just throw them together like they did in EQ2. And what they don't tell you here, is that EQ2 is dying and half the reason I quit is there is no one to play with and you're gonna go nuts trying to solo that game. The exp is mindblowingly slowwwwwww compared to WoW.

Overall, after playing both those games and more, I give EQ2 a 1 and WoW a 9.

Don't say we didn't tell you if you buy EQ2.
