First, thank him for the great games.

2nd, I would make the blast radius for the bombs slightly bigger.

3rd, have him create a more useable menu system.... ugh, its terrible.

4th, I would have him make the melee feature slightly more powerful.

5th, I'd have him incorporate fall damage.

6th, I'd have an option to not have the text on my screen and turn the announcer's voice off.

Hmmmmm.... that's all I can think of now. What's your guys opinions.

Oh, oh... and...

7th, I'd have him put an option to play with halo 1 weapons.

It'd be a long christmas break for that developer. :hump:

Yep I agree with everything except #5, I've gotten used to the no fall damage, and it is more of a positive asspect to the game.

I'd also tell that noob to make the BR the starting weapon for games on XBL.

Beat him until he got rid of those damned Wraiths.

I'd have him create more small levels

I'd have him program all Halo 1 (PC) levels into Halo 2.

Yes, I agree on the small levels. I think they intentionally made it less fun to play with fewer players. Now, if I can only get another friend to play with who doesn't have live, we play these huge levels where we cant find each other. Durrrr... I loved Derelict for rockets no motion detector and longest for shotguns. Good memories on small levels.

Also, the BR as starting weapon sounds like a good idea.

You know what I also think is a good idea... having like a 3 second immunity period after spawning where the character cannot fire and cannot be fired upon that can be turned on and off. That would help with spawn killing, but might be a pain in the ass when someone's trying to arm your bomb and you can't shoot them.

I agree with everything except 5 and 4
I too have gotten use to no fall damage :) I like not having to worry about getting hurt by jumping down a steep hill
as for 4, I sort of agree wtih you. If your talking about upgrading the energy sword, then no. The fact is that, that weapon is waay to strong. Its basically a 1 or 2 hit KO! It owns basically any other weapon thats why its also called "the noob stick" on XBL
I'm pretty sure they will add content download for previous halo levels, as soon as they make it compatible for halo 2

Nah, I think the energy sword should be downgraded a bit. It's a biotch to kill on lockout ctf. :bang:

I just was playing in a lan party today and finally started feeling comfortable with the controls and was meleeing a lot. It seems that it would almost be more beneficial to keep shooting... which decreases the skill level needed to win a cqb.

I also disagree with #5! its a blast using those air things in Ivory Tower and Colesuss or what ever its called.

I also disagree with number 5. The no fall damage allows us to really do things we couldn't do before.

Amen.

2nd, I would make the blast radius for the bombs slightly bigger.
And up the damage.

3rd, have him create a more useable menu system.... ugh, its terrible.
It's better than a lot of games but yes it does have some annoyances.

4th, I would have him make the melee feature slightly more powerful.
Yeah, it should only take one slam to an unshielded opponent to drop him.

5th, I'd have him incorporate fall damage.
They can't do this because using the sword smashes you into walls and would kill you.

6th, I'd have an option to not have the text on my screen and turn the announcer's voice off.
As well as the removal of the scoreboard in the bottom right.

7th, I'd have him put an option to play with halo 1 weapons.
There is, you can use classic weapons.

I believe he was mainly talking about the pistol, as well as maybe the AR.

The Pistol would be fun to use again, but the Assault Rifle wouldn't.

well if you want the pc levels those things go against your first one. most of the pc levels are huge.

I'm implying I want both. More small, and the big maps I know are good (the PC ones). :)

i think it wouldve been nice if they had the ammo limit for the sword in multiplayer. Not only would other people have the chance to find it but they would also not get like 40 person sprees and stuff. It is way too powerful.

Just so you guys know the programmer has no control over any of these things . . . . they only do what their told by the Game Designer

And i agree with you Plewis that crap needs to be changed except the no fall damage a cyborg is like a cat always lands on his feet

First, thank him for the great games.

I agree.

2nd, I would make the blast radius for the bombs slightly bigger.

I agree...but, I believe the power of the grenades in Halo 2 is quite fair and barely different than Halo 1 in my experiences.

3rd, have him create a more useable menu system.... ugh, its terrible.

Personally, I don't mind the menu system all that much only because I'm pretty used to it now...but, I will agree, it was pretty strange learning it at first.

4th, I would have him make the melee feature slightly more powerful.

I completely agree. This was HUGE with Halo 1...or atleast have a custom option that can turn up the power of it kinda like how you can with the flag bearer in custom CTF games with Halo 2.

5th, I'd have him incorporate fall damage.

I completely agree with Scorpion on this one...I really enjoy no fall damage in Halo 2. This is a very welcomed improvement over Halo 1, IMO.

6th, I'd have an option to not have the text on my screen and turn the announcer's voice off.

Or atleast have it be similar to Halo 1's announcer (like "Blue team has the flag" instead of "Flag Taken" and having to look down on your screen for a red icon to see if it's yours or the other team's).

Hmmmmm.... that's all I can think of now. What's your guys opinions.

Oh, oh... and...

I would atleast have the starting weapons be the Battle Rifle and the secondary be an SMG to be equivalant to Halo 1. Halo 1 veterans are not used to scrambling for weapon upgrades; but rather, are used to starting with great weapons from the start (or respawning). But hey, there are always custom games for this :)

quotes form maxi and myselfFirst, thank him for the great games.

I agree.

I second that

2nd, I would make the blast radius for the bombs slightly bigger.

I agree...but, I believe the power of the grenades in Halo 2 is quite fair and barely different than Halo 1 in my experiences.

I would have agreed with this a few weeks ago, but the grenades system is actually more fair than you think. I agree with maxi, use the grenades religiously. Dont make any sacrificies, but use them religiously.

3rd, have him create a more useable menu system.... ugh, its terrible.

Personally, I don't mind the menu system all that much only because I'm pretty used to it now...but, I will agree, it was pretty strange learning it at first.

I dopnt have any problems with it. I guess it was starnge to manage at first, but so was xbox live in general when it first started. I have no serious gripes with it.

4th, I would have him make the melee feature slightly more powerful.

I completely agree. This was HUGE with Halo 1...or atleast have a custom option that can turn up the power of it kinda like how you can with the flag bearer in custom CTF games with Halo 2.

Very true. If you dont have shields, getting melee in the face by a mettalic object weilded by a 1 ton cyborg, that would drop anyone.
5th, I'd have him incorporate fall damage.

I completely agree with Scorpion on this one...I really enjoy no fall damage in Halo 2. This is a very welcomed improvement over Halo 1, IMO.

agreed, these maps are a lot more vertical , and team based than halo 1. Not to mention there was tons of ways to get down from very high altitudes in halo 1 without taking damage.
6th, I'd have an option to not have the text on my screen and turn the announcer's voice off.

Or atleast have it be similar to Halo 1's announcer (like "Blue team has the flag" instead of "Flag Taken" and having to look down on your screen for a red icon to see if it's yours or the other team's).

hmm. doesnt bother me at all[/b]

[I]the battle rifle is no weapon to trifle with. i dont know about starting with that, but i guess fans of the pistol would welcome this. I personally odn tlike scrounging for a weapon while the enemy is taking the flag. But running at them with a single smg usually results in me getting owned by a spawn sniper, spawn battle rifle, spawn rocket, spawn...

except, maybe, another 1-ton cyborg. I figure, if melee damage is similar to three shots of the battle rifle, that seems to make the most real-world sense. If we're going to make arguments on what 'should' happen, don't you think if you can punch a guy out he 'should' also be able to be killed by a burst from a high-powered combat rifle?

I agree with everything and would like more gore and some sort of block or counter with the sword. And a more destructable enviroment like some thin walls to shoot through or blow up. And like the ps2 game socom 2 I would like to have some kind of victory action like holding your gun up with pride. And have night levels with the option of night vision or the sun will go down after a while. I would give the banshee some kind of bomb to drob on a base when right above it. I would also give the snipe a red lasor to make the enemy the chance to give their teammates a warning before they drop. And the pistol or something a silencer. Give the tank back the ability to hold pasengers. And a combat knife to do stealth attacks from behind like in "Escape from butcher bay" and have building with rooms to clear and walls to blow up. And more species of aliens or flood. And some kind of awsome human anwser to the banshee or ghost. And give the warthog a simple rocket launcher turret and give the option of first person passenger or driver views. And have the ability to holster your gun and sprint straight forward. And the ability for others to see your secondary weapon on your back. and the ability to lay down and shoot. And the ability to remote control detonate plasma grenades.

Several of your suggestions that you had Bungie already considered; however, they decided to leave them out in the final version of Halo 2 because they felt that it didn't work with the game. It's probably best that they did leave them out, in my opinion, especially if they thought so.

If I had a bungie programmer I would... make an option where MC can shoot a flare to show others where the enemy is. It's just not very effective saying, "The bomb carrier's over there" "where?" "THERE!" So and So is arming bomb. BOOM!

I know they considered it but they could have left it as a nother option to play with. Or make it downloadable content

I don't think you would really need that when you can tell your teamates exactly where he is. The friendly nav indicaters also show when you are shooting so people can see that your shooting and where you are shooting.
