I've been doing the big team battle a lot and I see a trend occuring that I wanted a tactical answer to.

On headlong, either CTF single or Assault, it's becoming more frequent that when you are at the drop spot in the red team building, someone fires a rocket from somewhere at the side wall as you arm the bomb or take the flag.
I know it's not coming from the floor above from the either bridge and I don't think it's coming from the back corridor with the air vent in the next building.

It's starting to happen all the time, and I'm curious to know where is the most likely place this rocket is coming from. I've never seen it fly, I think it's from a short range.
I've gone to look for these people, yet I don't see it happen.

It's a common tactic now, like setting up a sniper from the north airvent building to shoot towards the invisibility.

So, you see what I'm saying? Its like one of those things that become popular to do because it's effective. I just want to know where it's coming from. I know where the rockets are on that level.

Maybe it came through the window? I'm pretty sure there's a window by the bomb-arming/flag area, but not sure if it has the angle.

Yup its the window, but I'm not sure exactly where they are outside to cover the spot. I do know some people take a Banshee up to an unreachable spot and perch there..

It's got to be the Banshee trick, because I was on that back corridor that leads from the sword when that happened to someone else and I never saw anyone from there shoot down there.

They must have taken the Banshee up to the top..

Yeah, people tend to take a banshee up there on defense.

And on Offense, people put someone up there so the flag is always contested and the round timer never goes to zero.

oh thats a nice tactic right there..

In response to reclaimer , it might be up there or it might be from the window, from the other building.. or a ledge that can only be reached in the banshee in the middle of the buidling

It's from above. I did the BTB again and this time paid attention to where that banshee went. After several seconds of delay (time I figured for someone to get the rocket and come back) it just went up near the top of the buildling and fell back to earth unmanned.
Then later, the rocket attacks began.

yep. that's where the spot is. there's an opening in the roof right above the flag. and you have a great view of fit from the ledge over the center of the base.
