Halo 2 Worth Its Money?

My friends keep buggin me to get halo 2 for xbconnect cause they said its awesome online. I was woundering if i should get it or not because i dont wanna waste my money like i have with other games i thought that were going to be great. So could seomeone write me a small review about the game so i could decide thanks.

Well Halo 2 has a really good campaign that goes really bad once you beat it because of the simple fact that the ending sucks balls...but it sounds like you want H2 for the multiplayer part and IMO H2 has the best multiplayer of any game ever made.

Listen this is the low down on halo2, if your looking for some good halo1 gameplay you wont find it here, they have made the game faster implemented a few new weapons and added dual wielding. The campaign was designed great, its great to explore, but it is too short, and the ending is well, how do i put it "gay"? But on a scale from 1-100
i'd give this a 83.5, i suggest you go and buy another copy of halo1, when going back to h1 it feels very different :)

To answer your question.. yes it's worth the money. Why don't you find out for yourself and rent Halo 2 before making the decision to purchase it.
Then you'll have a few days to play the campaign and take it out online through whatever medium you choose. XBC is good, but the game is meant for Xbox Live.
Whatever you do, just rent the game. You'll be better off than trying to figure out if you can trust us or not.
There are some things that are better to let you see it for yourself than trying to explain in 10,000 different ways.

This game is overhyped big time. When I played campaign, I had very strong sense of deja vu and got bored very quickly. Online play is fun, but nothing spectacular. If it weren't for the Federation and some of the homespun gametypes (Dawn of the Dead), I'd be playing a lot less Halo 2. The thrill of matchmade games and all that wore off after about a week. Now I find more pleasure in just F'ing off online.

But I don't feel jipped. I've gotten $50 worth of fun out of the game, for sure. But I'd rather be whipped w/ razorblades and dunked in rubbing alcohol than play the game on XBC.
