[Whisper]

A makeshift team of people that didn't know they were playing, random invitees, and the great Dirty Destro have defeated the establishment of 8 XBA mods, including the owner of the site himself, Stephen (aka Kamshaft).

In what will surely go down as the game which will live in infamy.

no.. this was better than winning 3-0.. this was amazingness.. it was so awesome.. it could be a movie.. I was crying like a baby on defense thinking we're going to lose.. but as im crying obscenities im shooting sniper bullets into the faces of Reclaimer, Stephen, and Casper who came about 20 seconds apart each.. then I succumb to the great dukebuckhorn.. but brother you were there with the sword to avenge my death..

this was quite possibly the best team effort of all time.. and the team was brought together with bandaids..it's true..

I can't wait for the game page to be on Bungie so I can see teh greatness.. I am printing this game and posting it on the wall.. I couldn't believe it when I charged into the red base with my full rocket launcher.. destroying 3 defenders.. grabbing the flag.. running up to the top of the base while in chase.. he was killed from behind.. but i was shieldless.. I wanted to go up to the portal.. but there was a guard there.. then I jump down to the warthog which had just appeared.. I jump in the seat.. NO DRIVER! i scream and scream for help.. 10 seconds later the great Xorg arrives.. I can hear the staff in jumbled messes yelling "WHERED HE GO WITH IT?"

then brother Xorg jumped in the driver seat and drove me to glory! thank you brother!

............ and that was only to tie the game

It was a good event and we'll do it more.
We all had a lot of fun doing it and that was the main idea.
We knew we aren't going to win it, but at least we're going to set this up and have fun with it.

I played in the first two games(last minute sub in the first) and they were both awesome. The first was maximum rappage (I had 16 kills, 2 deaths) and the second game was intense and close. I think us members need to organize better next time because half of the second group didn't show(had to get T_howell, Destro, Doc Holiday, and Brother RJ to play with us) and I didn't even know I was playing till this afternoon lol.

Game one was essentially a one sided ass kicking all the way through.

Game two was a back and forth struggle that faired a bit of drama and suspense but the staff went down by one flag cap.

It was alot of fun, we'll do it again sometime.

As soon as the stats get refreshed we'll post up some news about it.

Funny that you guys are talking about coordination and yet, this was the first time any of us have played with each Stephen, Shannon, or Highlite (Tony) - but yea, we did hold our own that 2nd match. Me and Destr0 had some good beefs going, but it felt like it was just me and JJaX running the O...eh, fun as hell nonetheless.

That second game went along rather well. We had you guys running offense and I had my defense thing going. The only reason why Whisper sniped me was because I had died and the game respawned me all the way to the other side by the cave entrance.
I figured, hell, it'll be faster to just run to the blue base and get killed trying to get the flag then it would to have to foot it all the way back under fire.

I got 10 feet from the window of the blue base from the cave entrance, saw Whisper with the sniper, I had my SMG.. well, you can figure what would happen next.

Defense wasn't too bad for a team that never played together.
Whisper ran in, I hit in the back of the head with the shotgun.
X-Fan did the same thing and died the same way.
Xorg tried to throw it through the window but couldn't and I killed him.

Pretty much was doing alright until they put a Wraith outside and started shooting into the base. Each flag cap they had, had a Wraith involved at some point.

But, it was fun. We went in knowing we would loose. This is what they wanted, we gave it to them. A fun game and the chance to stick it to the staff in some way.

Too bad Bungienet is being slow about posting game stats.

I don't remember who it was.. someone.. might have been Destro or Mix, parked their Wraith behind our base on top of their flag that was dropped, I was quite proud to haul in and melee the driver to death.. whoever that was. Except the other Wraith blew me all the **** after it was done.
That last game, was actually more fun than the first game. Probably because I could actually move around without getting killed every 2 seconds and take people out the way I wanted to.
But I saw what you did up there JJax, that was sweet.

Nope. I got home from work at 8:45 EST and was in the room by 8:50. I was ready to play, but we had 9 people. Zero had to go somewhere and wouldnt be able to play in any of the last 3 planned games. So I left the room and ate my dinner, then came back at 9:30.

anyways, like no fear said, you guy's sneed to play waaay more, and im not talking about the staff. Casper, stuff that the girth would normally prevent, was not watched. I rushed, twice, and twice got the flag out of there. once i went up to the gate and grabbed it through, and i know jjax, destro, you, and nomini knew you could do that.

Anyways, it just shows where the girth is at. Dunno why im addressing any of this to casper either, who did really well actually.

anyways, the first game was anything BUT a coordinated team effort. it was wave after wave of mindless walking into casper's and rec's "chot"-gun. The only reason we won how we won, is cause once i yelled "two man rush" or said, "i got the flag by the fan, wait at the hole" lights and dark knew what was up.



anyways, i would have stayed for the second game, which sounded like an assload of fun, but i had to deprive company of my precious attention.

That very first game that we had to redo gave me a false sense of confidence. I had the shottie and the sword and Casper had his shotgun too. We had just been running around and stomping a bit of ass, I was feeling good about it all, then all the connection problems occured and we started over. After that, that game just wreaked of **** for me.

I think the staff lacked a coordinated effort. When I got the last flag I just jumped in, battle rifled skoot, jumped out, and xboxer came a gave me a lift. It was too easy. I think next time they'll be ready. I think the mvp are the guys who played defense at the end and didn't let anyone near the flag. Kills don't matter on a team game, there is no I in team people.

Casper, and jjax and the girth, we have played soo mnay games together. Im surprised....nm. It was funtho, ill give you that much. I kinda wanted to play on staff afterwards, but then what kind of member would i be?

anyways, it was great. Jjax was getting SO mad, i was actually afraid to come near him....in the virtual world. i never played a clean game with all xba members, i didnt get one second of lag. i did accidentally back up into someone and they BOOTED me. That was f**king dumb, now i know how ou felt casper, that one time you got booted in a CLAN MATCH. geez, thanx to lights out for sending me an invite in the middle of the match, i spawned just in time to help with the flag.

oh yea, actually, as far as i can recall, casper got booted too, and i re invited him. We should make SOME kind of rules, i mean, i there are 3 guys going for the flag, and you have one guy sitting at the flag with a shotgun, wouldnt it be wise to toss a grenade or shoot a rocket? no! cause that n00b will boot you for the team kill.

since thats been my xbox live gamer tag since beta testing. :p

personally, i suck because i've barely played the game. In fact I practically hate the game and have no desire to "get good". I played to support the staff on this site, which I would do again, even though I don't like the game. Unless reclaimer grabs me one night to play in a clan game, I'll never play another game as I do NOT play with the cheating jerks that I meet up with in "ranked" games. (unless its another staff vs. members game)
