I was wandering if anybody wanted to join a new Christian Halo clan im making. Im not exactly the gratest halo gamer ever, as a matter of fact I just began playing a few weeks ago, but i would like to have some fun, and win sometimes. That doesn't mean i want a goofy clan that does nothing but shout cuss words and think they are cool(we have heard our fair share of cussing on Live im sure). I know im gonna get flamed for making a christian clan(its expected) but im sure someone on this board knows what i mean.
If ur interested, please post and let me know. Gamertag: firecapjr
Also i dont have a mic for online yet, thats what this thread is for.

I like your idea of a Christian clan :) I'll keep an eye on it. I'd probably join but right now I don't have time for clans and i'd like to see what else develops. (Im doing tons of projects) Good luck though.
Oh and Whisper...what is that supposed to mean.... Unless your one of those people who think video games promote violence. Leave that to the debate forums...

For one, just because you play a violent video game, it doesnt mean your bad, it only matters how seriosely you take the violence. All Christians arent strict people that cant enjoy life, which is a common misconception. Whisper, no offence, but you seem to come to a quick verdict on me on my first post ever in your forums. Thanks AlphaRaptor.

a person that wants to make an all christian clan seems pretty orthodox to me.. and thus i wouldn't think would play this game.

Keep in mind that i never said "All-Christian' clan, i meant people that have some christian values, and dont cuss every other word. Being orthodox would have a different meaning to you, but i am shooting for a clan, not nesessarily the greatest clan, but a good willed clan that wants to have fun and try to win, didnt mean to start a big deal, just wanted to see if anyone had interest in it, thats all.

If you dont mean to make a big deal, why reply again??? Please dont use God as a tool to make a statement if you have no clue how i represent him as a gamer. This is a thread meant to recruit and discuss other related subjects, not to criticize people.

What difference does it make to you anyway? Let the man do his thing. I for one am happy to see more players out there that would just rather play than abuse the microphone. I'm no saint, I can say that for sure but I at least try to not to verbally abuse people in Halo 2. I actually appreciate people who keep that to a minimum.
Anyway, I can't seem to articulate playing videogames as a sin or against the commandments. However as for cursing and taking the Lord's name in vain and all that is another thing.
Let it go and let the guy find some players that agree with him.

actually, Halo is very popular in the Christian community. I know many people that play at their church. Churches usually have projectors and make for a good place to game. I know I'm a little late but whisper's just trying to mess with you (I think.)
Good luck with the clan, though I'm not interested.

It's funny you mentioned that because on of my closest friends that I hang out with is a Christian Youth Coordinator at his church.
We're a motley bunch, us guys who hang out and the running joke is that he's liable to burst into flames if he stands too close to one of us... that or he has to do a lot of repenting after the night is over.
Anyway he always tells me of the Halo tourneys they have using projectors and all that. It's very popular, I take it.
He has the keys to the church and all that and we've been begging him to let us in one night after hours so that we can play system linked in the auditorium.
He said he'd get in trouble if he got caught by his boss. Not sure if his boss was supposed to be Jesus or something, but I get the picture.
