to level up your sword, you have to collect a lot of those pink souls to almost fill your meter in about six base units and then go to a magic mirror and select 'enhance'. then you can select which sword (thunder orb) and hold your button down until the meter fills completely and then you will get a message that you have enhanced your sword.

i beat it in all modes and under 3 hrs in all modes and beat all the mini games in under 1 weeks time.****nnnnnnnnnn i'm good.now all i have left to do is get an x ranking for my complete mastery of the game with no strategy guide.i do have to say that this game was a great challenge with good replay value.*****

yeah finally, had to totally bypass the realms which sucks. i still have my save games thankfully so i can go back and try it but the problem persists in not having all the flourites and it's going to take too long to try and find them all considering i have the majority of them already.

i guess i'll have to play it over again, should be fun but tiresome! i need to make a flourite guide this time because if i screw this up again, i can at least backtrack. i hope genma onimusha 2 comes out for the xbox, the screens from the ps2 version are pretty slick. new character too, it seems.

ps: no spoiler but the end was a little bit of a surprise, makes me want to own number two even more. most game endings are stupid and dumb-down the obvious (uhh duh drool).

to get the extra mini game all u need is 20-29 flourite but u need all 30 to get the extra costume for kaede.the realms are easy compared to that oni spirits mini game.

thanks for your help about the question with the swords. now I am stuck in the puzzle area i dont know how to move the blocks that kaeda is doing to save samouke. I have a hard time moving them can you tell how you did it. this game is harder than i thought i get stuck in the most stupidist things. please help again

that one was actually kind of tricky. the key is to move the left piece around the whole board in a clockwise motion starting from the bottom all around back to the bottom - in turn, moving all the pieces out of the way that obstruct your main left piece. i didn't need a cheat for this and beat it the second time around. i can't give you an exact layout, just make sure you move quickly and remember how to retrace your steps a little.

btw, the pieces needs to fit on the bottom center and not in the center like the game says. as well, you don't need to arrange the other pieces in a special way, just the main left and right crest shapes.

ps: i could just give you a cheat off the internet but honestly, the puzzle will be solved very easily once you figure how the pattern works.
