Yo.

I just got my xbox at xmas (always been a ps2 man until now) and I know that because of the hard drive i can save music on it and listen at my leisure. But can I do this 'in game' and how is it done? Cheers. hobbsy505.

It depends on the game. For example, in GTA3/VC, while your in a car, press the black button until you get to the station called "CD Player" which will be your custom tracks. In Halo 1 and 2, custom soundtracks are not supported. Most games tell you on the back what they support, be it custom soundtracks, HDTV display, Xbox Live, Rankings, etc. The older games might not though, but it is standard to show what it supports on the new Xbox games.

Usaully the option for Custom Soundtrack is in the Options - Audio (or Sound or etc.) Menu in the game. Do you have Tony Hawk?? Every Tony Hawk game supports it.

The majority of EA Games support it. Madden, NFSU2, Fifa, etc.

Look at the back of each Xbox game. There will be a small graph that shows what that game supports. It there is a check mark next to Custom Soundtracks, you're good to go.

Halo 2 does not support that though.

Fifa doesn't have it.

Like Claimer said - look for the 'Custom Soundtracks' enabled on the back of the box. You'll have to copy your music from CD onto the hard drive by going into your Xbox Dashboard and it will recognize your CD right away. You can then copy the whole thing right there.

You're right, it doesn't. Whoops. :p

Fifa doesn't have it, really? That's kind of lame.

Sports and racong games tend to allow custom soundtracks. A really good game that does allow them is Lord of the Rings:the Third Age

ROFL. NFSU2 does not support it, which is the only reason I haven't bought that game yet. Good call.
