BG&E, Metal Arms, eh that's all I can think of. I wouldn't really say they were unpopular though. I mean they were reviewed well, and I don't know many people who played them that didn't love them. More like underappreciated.

Unpopular to me would be more like liking Kabuki Warriors.

Gunvalkirie - Can u say dumbest controlls ever locked into a game -At LEAST let me turn off the look spring! :cuss: If let you choose controls this would have been a huge title, but they locked in ONE way to control your suit which sucked, sucked hardcore. I like the game, but its underating is justified.

I don't think you'll like what I like, but I don't care.

Mace Griffin: Bounty Hunter - Why? Because it kicked ass. Not just because of Henry Rollins. It looked good and it was fun to kill and then go fly around in a space ship. I like the story too.

Conflict Desert Storm. I have all three. But the first was just a lot of fun. The second was cool, and Vietnam is truly a fun game. But the first was really fun and the missions being played along side 3 friends in that game came out just right.
CDS2 missions felt too long, like an endurance test and strayed in my mind from realistic. Vietnam, as great of a game on the immersion scale was just too spastic and difficult to share corners of a screen with 3 guys in a jungle game.

Kill.Switch - I don't give a ****. This game rocks. Fast and wild action that forces you to play smartly and use cover in order to survive. Plus the enemies didn't want to die either, they used cover and tactics to ferret you out. Just like in real life, you just don't run around shooting. You use cover to save your ass. Plus the scoped in view felt really good.

GunMetal. Slightly retarded action game that came out as pretty fun and not too repetitive. Custom soundtracks and the ability to transform at will to take the death dealing big weapons to the sky. It's just non stop explosions and killing things from 2 aspects.

Red Faction 2. This is a pretty slick game. The graphics were very nice and the game actually offered a lot of fun to be had. The enemies got smart on you, the weapon and mission varitety was cool too. Blowing the crap out of stuff never got old.
Didn't like the path you are taking? Blow up a wall and take the shortcut.

Bloodwake. Coming from a counter narcotics pursuit boat team, I was very intested in a boat combat game. Bloodwake delivered that to me. I was stunned to see that smallboat warfare tactics I learned actually worked in that game. Headoffs, quarter keeping, rope-a-dopes, all that stuff worked. People generally hated escort missions in any game. I didn't mind this. I didn't care for the story or anything like that. I just liked driving my boat and trying out the stuff I knew and watching it work like a charm.
Except for the final boss. That was a cluster**** of hit and runs.

Kung Fu Chaos. The ultimate party game. Can't say much other than it was just fun. I like the maps and the slapstick feel to it.

WWE 2 Ruthless Aggression. The only real aspect of the game I liked was the career mode with 4 players at once. That made the game really interesting to play as the four of us went about our careers and the computer would try to break us all up.

I guess that's about it.

Lot of good nods. Beyond Good and Evil instantly comes to mind. So does Panzer Dragoon Orta, Brute Force, Tenchu:RFD, Gladius, Jet Set Radio Future, Otogi (haven't played the second), and Crimson Skies.

I still own 5 of the 8 of those, and imagine I'll play 'em again somewhere down the road (I still pop in Gladius, PDO, and Tenchu from time to time).

Of all of them, I think most people would fall for BG&E. It's a short game, but packed w/ more ingenuity and story than most games today.

Psi-Ops also comes to mind. I absolutely loved tossing stuff around w/ my l337 mind powers! And even though it's not all that long, the gameplay alone makes you want to play more, and you get a slew of extras to use on a second/third/fourth run through.

I really liked Air Force Delta Storm. I got really sick of the little random encounters around the map though. I just wanted to get on with the actual objective mission.
My favorite mission was this particular base that had a bunch of drydocks that kept the huge hover tanks in it. Then you had to go back around and fly down the tunnel into the inner hangar and blow up those tanks in there.
That was pretty fun. The last mission was cool too.

I don't remember what my favorite plane was. Oh yeah.. it was that plane called "The Funeral." It was just big and fast. It could outrun whatever and turn on a dime.

I miss that game actually. After you beat it, the game just keeps on going. However you have a ton of money and all the planes you had at the end. So it was fun to go back and do the easy missions with your big death dealing air planes.

--
As for that question about my favorite MP map on Red Faction II? I don't remember what they are called. There was this one.. sort of like a temple on 2 sides with a maze of stone walls in the middle.

-- You know what game I forgot to mention all this time?

Serious Sam. That game was actually pretty fun on co-op. Just a mindless fast frag fest.

Ah yes, Serious Sam, that game ruled. It was the first mindless frag fast since Doom II, and it did a good job at it. I still remember that temple mission where you got ambushed with what was probably around 100 baddies... good times.

Beyond Good and Evil (Sleeper, everyone should try this game)
Breakdown (Phenominal, once you get settled into the game play)
Dead to Rights (Panzy gamers.."It's too hard")
Deathrow (Great multi-player game)
Metal Arms (Although I think it was popular, not a big seller)
Suffering (Underated)
Tao Feng (Hugely underated)
Vexx (again, Underated, great platform game)

There are others that have been mentioned, but the titles I mentioned should have gotten more mainstream attention IMO.

Yep viewtifull joe to.

Imo. Iron Phoenix was the best unpopular game i've played, as an avid hack and slash gameplay lover this game filled that need. Granted no story mode probably killed it, online was the best, one of the few games you really needed to get used to, to be any good online.

Another was Phantom Dust, the online mode was a lot of fun, destructible environments, think of a card game hack and slash and Third person shooter combined with strategy and that's Phantom dust. Just like Iron Phoenix you needed to get used to the game, and be smart about your "deck" in order to win.

Everyone hated Deathrow on the original Xbox. But that game was pure madness and desctruction. I popped in my own soundtrack (in this case, Drowning Pool) and when that soundtrack began ('Bodies') it was pure chaos.

Just beating the crap out of people, not even interested in scoring points. Just blood and bones crunching.
