If I'm on line playing Madden 2005 with an xbox can I play my buddy with ps2?

No. They run on different services so you'll be unable to play with people on a PS2.

stop teh spam, i think xbox 2 will have a feature like that with PC but not ps3

You can not intergrate PS online and XBL players. The Xbox and PS2 are two different animals for one thing and secondly the services are operated differently.

XBL is a completely closed off network.
