I Am So Mad!!!!!!!!!!!!!

me and my dad were setting up my xbox live and we had every thing setup but then our modem blew out and my tv becuase we think its becuase we didnt turn off the stuff while we were hooking that up how could this happen. so now when i play my xbox i can hear the game but cant see it. did Any of this happen to u?

That's very, very weird. So you hooked up the Xbox while it was powered on? I have hooked up my Xbox while the TV was on, and never had this happen before. Hope you have a warranty on whatever went bad, cuz it sounds like you did some damage.

ahh... ha ha ha haa hee hoooo hoo!!! im only messing... i know how it feels to have everything set up and one little thing is missing or goes wrong.... sounds strange though, i didnt know you could blow out a modem... shouldnt be too hard to fix though, but trust me it's worth fixing,... best thing ever, live is!

It had to be a power spike because my cable modem is always on and I cant turn it off unless I unplug it. So while I'm switching it around on my router, it's always on.
Your TV.. are you sure it's not a problem with your cable to your TV? You need to try a different cable before you go into freak out mode.
EDIT:

Make sure your modem is firmly plugged in at both the power strip and at the modem. Maybe you jiggled something loose.
Either way if it's dead you can get a free replacement if you call your ISP. Don't tell them a surge hit it. Just tell them it went dead.

You say you can here the sound but cannot see the game, maybe your scart is not in properly or u broke the scart sometimes when I move the telly my scart comes out a tiny bit and that happens to me I just push it back in.
