I know that they are doing pre-orders for the X-Box with 3 games of your choice for 499.00. But, is this actually going to be the price and has the price of the actual system been announced?

And--Happy Thanksgiving!

Jeff

My bet would be $199 - $249 for the actual system. Not $499, that would be suicide! http://www.xboxaddict.com/ubb/smile.gif

In the UK, we have to pay £299 for the PS2, while in the states its only $299!

£299 = $448
$299 = £199

Its extortion, we get ripped of for everything in the UK, I hope MS dont make that mistake.
Another example, BMW 330DSE would cost ya £23,000 from europe fully loaded, but £28,000 here with no extras.

So why then would those Jack-asses set up the preorder to cost 499.00 on that website....Unless I got the wrong thing. I know it includes 3 games, but what the heck. Those should go about 40 bucks each if it is CD format. That leaves 379.00 for the price of the system???

Axepicker I did some detective work and I found some information that might make you feel better. I found it over at gamestop.com

"Pricing is estimated and will be adjusted if necessary after offical pricing announcements."

Damn, they estimate like all the women that I have had in my life. Except for the current one...lol.

Thanks Chris!

I'm sure MS will keep the Xbox in line for tight competition with the other consoles out there, so I don't expect to see the price go far above what seems to be the norm for the next gen consoles. But hey, you never can tell!

And Kuni, man, just wait till you come to school in the states to get the box. http://www.xboxaddict.com/ubb/wink.gif
