XBN came today, cover story...Doom 3 review.
And the score is....10/10!
I am about to read it, I will post intial reactions in a minute.
EDIT: Ok, basically the whole review is describing how immersive the game is. Having not played the PC version yet (I have the demo, I should beat that...) I don't know if this is any different, but at the end, the reviewer (Simon Cox) writes about how this game was meant to be a cinematic experience and how he feels a room, with the same couch, and same TV that you watched the likes of Alien, Blade Runner, and the Lord of the Rings DVDs are where this game is where this game thrives best.
He ends the review with...
"Screw the PC version.l This feels like the game Xbox was always meant to host."
The XBN team played the complete version of the game, but they said Activision has delayed it till early March for marketing purposes.
The game has 5 multiplayer deathmatch levels, and the co-op mode is not the same as the single player in the sense that many cutscenes, PDA info gathering, and even a few levels are left out.
"Co-op. then, is much a more a hellish shooting gallery than a nightmare you can't wake up from." It says they wanted to keep the single player intensity exclusive to the single player. Also, all levels are accessible via co-op, even if you haven't beat them in single player.
I think I am still going to wait for the computer expansion pack and a lot more reviews before I go out and buy either copy...........although I might just get both lol.
