Getting less and less psyched about MA2...

The game is absolute mayhem. You get a full 12 player game going and you WILL experience lag no matter what. Here's a rundown of your average team destruction game...

Everyone stands around the VTOL (airplane) pad and whines and cries for powerups. Then both teams race to the middle shooting anything in sight.

The team who manages to blow up the most stuff advances until they are right outside the other team's base. They corner them in and absolutely slaughter them for the rest of the game.

Usually it gets so choppy and there are so many explosions that your sound will give out and you'll probably hear some nasty buzz for a while. There will be so many explosions on your screen that you will have no idea what is happening. There is nothing you can do except hope to see a red target on your screen and shoot blindly at it.

By this time, most people have left the game because they're tired of being spawn killed over and over again, or the game is so laggy that it isn't even worth playing.

Plus, I'm always playing this crap by myself, since no one at XBA seems to play it. And for good reason.

It does happen alot... asuming there is actually someone on your team that's decent at the vtol instead of some kiddy that runs away with it and hides somewhere for no purpose... The best thing about the vtol is when your pilot drops upgrades and armor for the enemy... :bang:

The sound going out is a real pain. I'm using a decent surrond sound rig and when the sound gives out and blows static, it's an instant headache.

I feel ya about playing alone. There are so many games you'll enter and there will just be like 4-6 clan members in either conquest and plan mp... you know instantly that your chances of not being decimated are that much lower...

yeah.. i'm kinda in a gaming slump right now. i just beat the ma2 single player and traded it in for good ol' counter strike...

guess i wont be playing with anyone from xba for a while considering not a single person i know has that game. *sigh*

Has Counter Strike? I do. :) I'm glad you told me about MA2's multiplayer because I was going to ask for it for my birthday.

Yeah, multi was fun at first, but now I just can't imagine popping that disc in ever again. :(
