I need TACTICAL Team Slayer Teammates!

Okay I am stuck between level 12, 13, and I once was 14. I need to add some people to my friend's list who is on a lot and they don't just run out there. They actually try to work as a team, watch each other's back and so forth. I am grounded from my XBox for another week and 5 days but I will send you a friend request when I get back on.

Bull **** it does. Tactics work any time if you have competent people you can trust.

It's all about taking an area and holding it down. Slaughter the lambs as they come to you. Field space so that a grenade or RL doesn't take you all out, however you can back each other up.
Fire saturation to a choke point.. people will walk into it.

Every game we stuck together and hold down a reasonably defensable area, we win.

right on, rec. i've quit doing matchmade teamslayer alltogether because nobody seems to want to group up and atleast run together if not hold down an area. i'll keep saying "we need to group up, and work as a team", ect but they don't listen.
it's those types, quitters, and cheaters that make me despise matchmade games in halo2.

I got level 16 using no tactics, tactics in TS are a waste of time and just pointless, hench the name slayer. When you slay, you dont pinpoint the angle u wanna kill the guy at, u just do it. Anyone who wants to show me tactics will work in a 3 on 3 duel , please step up.

obviously you do not understand. you don't stay that close together. you just stay in relatively in the same area. not out in the open where you could be easily picked off by snipers, or ran over by vehicles. that way you always have the advantage of numbers...4 on 1 or 4 on 2 ect.

we all win. working as a team just increases your chances of winning.
take 2 teams of equal skill. on one team all the guys go off their own ways, and on the other they stay relatively in a group and work together. the team that works together will win more often than not. jmo

and nice edit.. my stats are nothing special..i know. if i had a group of guys that used similar tactics and worked together it would be a different story.
most 'noobs' don't use tactics, btw.

Whoa that must explain your highest level being a 7. Battle rifles are probly one of the best weapons sure rockets and snipers may be better but battle rifles are good for medium ranges combat and decent at long and short ranges. The BR is more accessable than other weapons.

Teamwork does work, every legite clan use teamwork regardless of game type, in halo2 teamwork defines your skill, in halo1 you could take on 2 ppl and still live with just a pistol and assult rifle.

We roll together most of the time, and when we have teammates at least equal to us, we normally don't have problems with level 14-15 people. We're on probably ~20+ hours a week. We're only 10-11 because we roll with some freinds sometimes who don't do much to help our team out.

Pretty much the point I was making is that everyone isn't so close together that a single grenade will take them out. I think I mentioned that before. You use intervals. That way, the group moves, the fire moves.
The enemies that run alone just get run over.

I got a question. I am a newb at this game. ( I beat it in like 10 hrs on normal when I just got the game) I don't understand what people say when they complain that the targeting reticle "locks on" to your opponent. It never has for me. A little information about myself (gamewise) I like to hide and shoot and only use brute strength when neccesary. I prefer long range weapons to short range. This makes me sniper. I was pro in Halo, and haven't found any good hiding spots in Halo 2 yet. I am a team player, and can give you cover fire if you need it. I prefer battle plans rather than run 'n' gun tactics. Now, about that question, Would you allow me to join if I have no levels? I have no XBC or XBL but I plan on getting one of them soon. Just wondering so I know if I have anyone I can start with. RECRUITING IDEA!!! You could play me in a 2 on 2 match in a small game on whatever level, so you can see my skills. Just a thought.............

It actually locks on for the sword. There are also people out there who state if your target reticle turns red it is an auto hit w/ the sniper, giving it the lock-on effect. BS, IMO.

That's not exactly it. It's kinda like there's a square grid around the head and if you hit any part of that square even if visually you didn't hit the head it's a headshot. Gives the effect that the bullet is "attracted" to the guys head. Haven't you noticed when you throw a plasma grenade and it sticks to the guys head though visually it's a foot away from his head?
