My dad says that he is getting cable connection soon, so I'm curious:

Can more than one person play on a single XBox on XBL? So my friends and I could go on and play Halo 2 in the Team Slayer matches or something.

Are there custom game types on XBL? On Halo 2 specifically.

Halo 2 specifically; yes.
Most other Online games; no.

custom game types; yes. You just have to join through your friend list (make sure to add several people before you start; matchmaking games are becomming teh suck). I'm sure several people on here wouldn't mind adding you.

You can have guests on most other games including halo2. Just no guests, on ranked games. If you really wanted to play a box of 2 on ranked games, make another gamertag but then you'll have to split screen.
