I thought it was supposed to be similar to Gran Tourismo, with tracks and car upgrading and what not. I don't think it was supposed to be street type racing like Tokyo Extreme Racer.

I read on GameSpot that the Garage Mode in Sega GT 2002 is suppose to be pretty sweet.

same here, supposed to be better than GT3 if it lives up to its hipe

If they really tried I'm sure they could beat GT. My guess is they'll come pretty close but some things will be off a bit and it will again fall under GT's shadow. Last I read the sense of speed that the game conveyed wasn't great so it didn't seem like U were going 100 mph.
