View Full Version : Should Bungie add an MLG playlist?

A playlist with updated MLG settings would kick ass. I would particularly enjoy spawning with a Battle Rifle instead of an SMG...
Here's a small list with the settings for MLG tourney play:
Free For All Tournament
Settings & Rules
1. All Settings listed below are those that are not default for Slayer.
2. 50 Kills to Win
3. 20 Minute Round Time Limit
4. 10 Second Suicide Penalty
5. Battle Rifle Starting Weapon
6. No Secondary Weapon
7. Use of the sword is prohibited for the FFA and will result in disqualification.
*The sword can be used in all team games.
You need to add an option,------- Yes. (You suck.)

It's a tournament. They have their own playlist rather than Bungie's. There's few edits but the main thing is that you start off with BRs instead of SMGs in all of the games.
And GOD YES they should.

Yes, I'd like to play a game based on skill rather than where you spawn.
And I don't see this happening, one thing Bungie is great at is completely ignoring major problems in Halo 2.

OK, I've heard of that now. I was thinking it was something else.
I say yes because I'm sick of walking around Coagulation with a SMG.

For sure, MLG rules dominated the gametypes during Halo 1.
Bungie should get some of those guys out of those lightless think tanks and bring them into reality. Starting with SMG has to be the most rediculous thing, especially on maps such as Coagulation and Burial Mounds.

Yes they should I hate the SMG with a passion at times. The Primary Weapon should be BR and the secondary should be magnum.
sure, why not? although i dont mind the smg, it is kinda annoying in the big maps.

No, it has nothing to do with joining MLG. It makes it more even because no matter where you spawn on the map, you still have a chance w/ the BR. If you spawn in the middle of Coagulation w/ an SMG then you're ****ed. It would make it more of a who's the more skilled player instead of who's got the best weapon.

LOL @ Teckno. MLG = Tournament. It's your choice to go, not Microsoft's...
The BR start should AT LEAST be put on the large maps. Coagulation, Burial Mounds, Headlong, and etc.
If anything, turn off radar.

I don't see that happening, however I would really like BR starting for at least the big maps. I like having BR as starting and SMG as secondary (Starting)

Oh my God, that is the worse. It's like where do I go from here. You're as good as dead if you can't make it to something or somewhere significant. I say yes to MLG.
