I play alot of Halo 2. Sometimes I have really good games, but most of the time I just can't seem to get a kill in. Last night I wasn't doing so hot and the guy in my party (some 12 year old kid) told me I sucked and that he was never playing with me again. Now I enjoyed playing with the little guy and we were about even most of the time. But after constant putdowns and the other players on our team telling him it was just a game, I decided to remove him from my friends list. I'm not going to take crap from someone who isn't much better than me.
Anyways I was hoping that a XBA member who is either a) really good or b) a high level like 16+ could drag me along in some team slayer matches and critique my game and help me get better. I'm sure if you are a level 16+ or higher you wouldnt want a level 11 (i was 13 at one time) tagging along. But hopefully there is someone out there who wants to help the less fortunate Halo players out there. :hail:

heres just my view...
i doubt a high level would want to play matchmaking w/ you, because, they wouldn't wanna lose, b/c in a game you focus on ur team, not on how an individual can get better. second, stats. im not trying to be an *******, but, 146 games of ts, and ur only an 11. i was a 17 at that point. (not saying im better), and the 17 wins in over 100 games of rumble isn't too pretty. now, matchmaking stats have nothing to do with skill. smg start is ****, and cheaters are ****. hell, you coulda been standbyed like, 50 times in your slayers, and your percentage is really sweet. so, beyond that, try to get into some customs with some high levels.

You know, I would love to. I don't have XBL/XBC yet though. I don't get why people are so interested in their levels. You think people would want lower leveled team mates (optimatch) to get higher levels, so they would train them. But NNnooOOOooo, they are too busy "getting to level 6498", and anyone even 2 levels lower than him is a noob. Hey, are you good in close combat? If so, then you could teach me your close combat skillz, and I could show you a thing or two in long range/sniping. If you find a tutor, make him play a head to head, and let you practice on him. This way, eventually, you will both be furthering each others ends. That would be great........if someone wouldn't care so much about their levels. Oh well......

I experiended alot of standby today. Yeh I know I'm not ther best. That's a good idea about custom games. If any high level players want to let me play in some custom games and critique me that would be awesome.

ahah... you said you were a pro, and you dont even have xbl... :bang:
in the other thread you told me you were a pro...
lemme guess, you beat the kids in your school at a lan party??? :bang:
also - the reason high levels dont want to play low levels varies.
here are a few of mine.
1. Some low levels are just as good as the high levels, so you risk more points, if you lose, you lose more points that if you lost to a high level.
2. Some low levels suck, and winning 50-7 every game isn't fun. its boring.
3. Teamwork. If I have 2 guys that we communicate well with, and a third low level comes in that even if he's good, doesnt communicate, i'd rather have a fourth ok person that will work better as a team.
4. Playing low levels is a waste. If you beat someone 6 levels under you Say, 20 vs. 14, and you win, 4 times, you gain 160 points. If you lose once, you lose 160. so, you could go 80-20, and still not move up a level. If you play 20's and you are truly better than a 20, you could, win 3 out of 5, and move up a hell of a lot faster.

I don't really care much about my level, but the sytem forces you to care. If you are a level 3 and one of your friends invites you to play custom the other players might be in the teens. So even before they see you play they hate you. Also levels are important in joining games with people of your skill level. I just want to be better so when I do play games with my friends I don't let them down. That's all. I dropped 2 levels and I was only mad about not being treated the same when I was higher.

Add me to your friend's list. I won't be on right now, but, add me and if I see you, I'll invite you in. I think Mikeman is right...get your practice with custom games...learn the maps, learn where weapons and powerups are, and figure out your setting for your turn sensitivity that helps out sniping. Learrn how to snipe without having to zoom in. I'm learning that it one of the most important things and am currently working on it.
Mikeman.SonofSam is a freakin' insanse Halo 2 gamer. I think I could give him a good workout with Halo 1, but, I'm still trying to perfect Halo 2. Halo 2 is easily a different game all around, but, I like it.
