How would you be able to record your TV while playing Xbox uising a VCR?

yeah...two ways.

1) if your tv has video output you can put those into the input on your VCR or,

2) plug your Xbox through your VCR, then VCR out to your TV.

that should work..

...assuming you're talking about XBOX games and not DVD movies.
