Anyone know what movie that quote is from?

I saw this on another forum, and they didn't seem to have the answer. There's even a thread about it in the IMDB forums and no answer.

Seems like most people recognize it, but no one can figure out where it's from. It's starting to look similar to "play it again, Sam" as in maybe there's something close to it, but it's been misquoted. Any ideas?

My immediate thought was Willy Wonka, but people have searched the script and not found it.

Oh, I know this....

It's from 'Bottlerocket'. The first film w/ (by, maybe) the Owen brothers. I believe it's the scene where they are gonna rob the Bookstar.

Hmmm, I don't know. I recognize the quote, but I don't recognize the film "Bottlerocket."

Bottle Rocket, I believe.

It also sounds like a quote from Space Ghost, when Space and Moltar build something out of wood.

I think you meant to say Wilson brothers. :)

Owen Wilson and Wes Anderson wrote it, then Owen and Luke Wilson starred.

You're absolutely right, Motoko. Hehehe. I was trying to remember Luke's name, and suppose Owen just popped out there.

I'm starting to doubt it's from 'Bottlerocket', though, because as I remember it, Luke says to Owen, "What's the black for?"

And Owen replies, "Exactly!"

Or so that's how I remember it now. I got to rent that again.

It isn't from Bottlerocket. The word "beauty" isn't even in the script.

This quote actually doesn't exist word for word. It is one of those internet red herrings that has been around for a while....and making plenty of people go mad over it. :) It is worded just so to make you think you have heard it before. If you think about it long enough you can actually hear the character you're thinking about say it. None-the-less, they didn't.

...Tape. :D

"What's that tape on your nose for?"

"Exactly."

Yep. People have been guessing for over a year, insisting that its actually in a movie.
